I’m going to name off the only other official Disney Chanel shows in here. I believe that outside of Kim Possible every show mentioned here was either part of One Saturday Morning, Disney Afternoon or in general syndication before airing on Disney Channel.
I miss So Weird. The first couple of seasons with Cara DeLizia, not the last season with the less interesting and frankly baffling replacement.
The Famous Jett Jackson. This show was just tons and tons of fun
The good Disney Channel Original Movies like Don’t Look Under the Bed and Smart House or that one where Kirk Cameron is the dog psychic.
I know I’m looking at these shows and films through rose-colored lenses, but at least there was some variety back on the old Disney Channel. A healthy mix of their shows, films and shorts from every era and basically every channel. Can’t say the same about what’s airing today.
And even though I’ve grown to love Disney XD for some of its programming I mourn the loss of Toon Disney. Like all the other toon-oriented channels outside of Boomerang,it became a victim of channel dilution due to ratings greed.
I’ve also gotten that effect when it comes to nostalgia. If there was any reason that channels back then were better in quality than today, I would agree that variety would be why. That’s why Nickelodeon was so awesome back when they had game shows.
I had a crush on Sonny Munroe, more so than any other TV character…except maybe Sabrina from Sabrina the Animated Series…but I was twelve then…anyway, one day I turned on the TV despite the fact that I usually don’t watch television…and first there was Arthur, then another show after it on PBS, which had interesting looking characters but got pathetic after twenty minutes…so I turned to the Disney Channel…and there was Demi Lovato, though I didn’t know her (I knew her name, but couldn’t have recognized her by looks then.) It was really neat to see her laughing and stuff…and apparently there was a Sonny with a Chance marathon that day…and yes, some of the stuff I couldn’t stand…this was November 2009, and only first season episodes had aired up to that point. I only watched one full episode of Sonny with a Chance that night, but I was seized with a desire to see Demi Lovato that night…and the next day, I rushed in the house after my classes at college ended, just to see Demi on the telly…which I never do…because again, I don’t watch much television…and it was the first episode and seemed pathetic because I didn’t see it from the beginning…
If you are judging by the first season, I can see how you would hate the show. But in the second season, it became pretty good…not just Demi becoming even more beautiful, but the plots of most episodes made them interesting, at least beginning with “Falling For the Falls, Part 1.” The episode with Raven Simone was terrible, of course, but then I hated That’s So Raven…except for Chelsea, who was attractive.
There is an episode that is overdramatic that comes after the one mentioned above - where Sonny is accused of shoplifting and a co-worker wants Chad to either be with her or die - but it is still a decent one. Funny and stuff.
By the way, I’m the biggest Demi Lovato fan you’ll ever meet. She is the ONLY singer I would buy CD’s from.
The Weekenders, Pepper Ann, House Of Mouse, Buzz Lightyear Of Star Command, Recess, Kim Possible, Lilo and Stitch: The Series, Brandy and Mr. Whiskers, and The Buzz On Maggie.
Am I the only one here who remembers The Buzz On Maggie? It didn’t even air for a full year before it got cancelled. It only had 21 episodes. They haven’t showed it on TV since 2008.
I remember that show, but now I barely remember any of the episodes. I only seem to remember it now cause it was from the creator of another Cartoon Network show I still remember called Time Squad.
Kim Possible! I remember when I was little running around outside pretending to be her And Recess! And my brother used to be obsessed with the Lilo and Stitch series. I miss these
I don’t really see what you mean by miss…

There’s Lilo and Stitch The Series, but it was hard for mewhen I heard someone say it had bad writing, animation and a poorly executed rip-off concept.
