You’re on to us… I’m sorry but I’m going to have to kill you now.
Name: Cole
Gender: Male
Origin: Greek
Meaning: Victorious People
My real name is Ashley (as you can tell I was really creative when deciding on my username :p) and apparently:
From an English surname which was originally derived from a place name meaning “ash tree clearing” in Old English. Until the 1960s it was more commonly given to boys in the United States, but it is now most often used on girls.
Oh and I’m male. It is more common a male name than female in the UK (not heard of any UK female Ashleys)
Yeah, I’ve never met an American male Ashley. The only one I know of is Ashley from my favorite book/movie, Gone with the Wind!
Name: Danielle
Origin: Hebrew
Meaning: God is my judge
I don’t really like my name though. I try to get people to call me Ellie or Dani, but it never works I was thinking of changing it when I get older. I love the name Lilly, and Alex. I heard of this book once called “Looking for Alaska”, and ever since then, I’ve loved the name Alaska. My mom said she was originally going to call me Jaime, I like that name too.
Oh, yes. You sound a lot like a Persian princess. Very exotic. I like it.
Name: Forster
Origin: English
Meaning: of the name Forrester
Really?
Well, I like it, so there! It sounds like Forrest.
My name is Jordan. It’s of Hebrew origin and it means to descend.
As for my screenname… That’s something of a really ridiculous story that involves bands and how Buddhist monks seem to have an affinty for driving Ford Aerostars.
Name: Jayme
Origin: Hebrew
Gender: Either
Meaning: Supplanter.
The meaning of my name sucks.
It’s better than “Son of the Handsome One”
My real name is Brenna.
I have never been able to figure out what it means, different places say different things, but the most common meanings are:
Little drop of water
Raven
Black haired maiden…
None of those fit me… I have dark blonde hair…
The name Brenna is Irish.
The funny thing is my parents first heard the name “Brenna” in a Start Treck episode. The girl named “Brenna” was a pretty Irish girl (with red hair) that was on a planet with a punch of other people that needed to be saved. LOL! Every time I say “my name comes from Star Treck” my mom gets embarrassed! It’s funny! Also I like Star Treck, although I’ve never seen the episode my name “came from”.
My name is Jonah, although I have no idea what it means… my friends and I used to joke around and say it meant “the man swallowed by a whale” (which I was named after that Jonah), but obviously that isn’t what it means. and yeah, I love my name!
Name: Dylan
From the Welsh elements dy “great” and llanw “tide, flow”. In Welsh mythology Dylan was a god or hero associated with the sea. He was the son of Arianrhod and was accidentally slain by his uncle Govannon.
hmm… nice uncle
A quick search on www.behindthename.com revealed that Jonah comes
“From the Hebrew name יוֹנָה (Yonah) meaning “dove””
Wow, I didn’t know that! Nice… so I’m a dove…
