What good things are happening in your life right now?

Wish my exams were over, my last one’s on the 17th. Fortunately the latest Monster Hunter game then comes out on the 26th, it’s lucky that it didn’t come out before my exams; I would have got no revision done at all…

Ha-ha. I certainly did. It was a most enjoyable experience.

bright dot-dasher - Thank you very much! Up was absolutely fantastic. I’ve seen it five times already.

I registered for college this fall, finally. Despite the hefty workload that I’m expecting, I really cannot wait to gain some knowledge again. It’s been too long since I received a proper education, if you can call education in this state “proper” anymore. (heh)

Two more exams to go…Just two more…I know I shouldn’t be on here, but having done four maths exams, three physics exams, an English exam and two Latin exams, I’m having a break.

Ohh, I just can’t wait for the summer. The second my exams are over I’m going out as much as possible- going to the cinema next Wednesday, having dinner out with everyone in my psychology class (including the teachers, which is going to be rather strange) on the Thursday, going out for drinks with my best friends on the Friday, having a night off on the Saturday and then going out again on the Sunday. I’ve got to make up for all of this time I’ve spent indoors revising!

Oh, and very randomly, my mum recieved a Nintendo DS in the post! I remember opening the package and asking her if she’d ordered one (which would’ve been strange as she already has one) and she said no, but there was a little note inside from Tesco saying about how she’d apparently entered into a competition and had been a prizewinner. Was rather strange but good.

I leave for Hawaii in about 4 days. Packing has been a nightmare, but you know what they say, good things come to those who wait.

FINALLY Summer is here! WHOOOO! School is out! Sorry I’m acting hyper this year was crazy for me.

I went from having no summer jobs, to having four! Well, three are temporary. I got a job at a local strawberry patch where people come to pick their own strawberries. I’m working on a mural for one of my former high school teachers. I am also doing some dog sitting and cat sitting. Just random jobs here and there, but they’ll keep me busy and earn me some money.

Hannahmation- Oh, I love those pick-your-own strawberry places! What sort of job do you have to do there? In a way having a few random jobs is even better than having one big full-time job over the summer because at least you get a bit of variety and won’t get bored doing the same thing day in day out.

annarborjack- I’m so jealous! My school system changed our school year from 37 weeks to 40 weeks, thus I’m stuck in school until Tuesday. T_T

lizardgirl: I’ll be working at the check out, so I’ll be cashiering and keeping track of how many buckets we have sold. Yeah, I like having a bunch of different jobs. It’s hard to get a full time job anyway since I’m just around for the summer before I go back to school. And like you said, I get some variety. I’m going to try and do some freelance photography this summer as well.

  1. Finally out of hospital. Not nice being cooped up in that little building. Gotta appreciate life outside the ward before I go back :frowning:
  2. It’s cold in Sydney, but cool enough for a really, really, really nice bike ride.
  3. After much lurking, I am finally on top of all the new forum posts that I’ve missed :stuck_out_tongue:

It is absolutely wonderful to see you again Phileas.

It’s great to see you on the boards again, Phileas! I hope you get well soon.

lizardgirl & TSS - Thanks. Nice to be back again posting.

Remember me? Lol sorry. I THINK I was around when you were here. Anyways Welcome Back!

Nice to have you around the forum again, Phileas!

School’s Out!

First, welcome back Phileas!

And as already indicated in the anime-thread, I’m currently busy rewatching my favourite childhood TV show: The Mysterious Cities of Gold

Today I watched an interview with the show’s writers in the bonus section, and it included a wonderful surprise; they are working on two new seasons and a feature film.

So even if Brad Bird would certainly not approve, let me just say… YES!

I was talking to a really great artist today on MSN, and she told me how to get a really cheap tablet online!!! (Okay, it’s considered cheap next to the one I would have been getting.) It’s a Hanvon 8x6 with 2540 resolution… and it’s only $98 on Amazon! I would have paid $470 if I had gotten a WACOM Intuos4, but the Hanvon is what she uses and is so much cheaper. Plus it will do the basics, which is all I really need. I’m really hoping I’ll get at least a little more money for graduation, because the $98 I have saved up right now is going towards my passport.

Oh, and a warm welcome back to the boards, Phileas! We really missed having you around!! :frowning:

little chef

I am finally finished watching all College Humor videos - all 601 of them. A lot of laughter there, and some dull moments, too.

But, it’s pathetic that this is the only thing I could think of when trying to think of something good that’s happened to me today… or yesterday, or the day before, or the day before yesterday, or the day before the day bef…

Well, I guess I could say that I got my first green colored Coca-Cola Contour Glass today from upsizing my McDonalds Big Mac meal. I never had a green colored one before so, yay…

Besides going to a lake and having a super awesome day on friday, finding my favorite movie of ALL TIME, and possibly re-deciding my career, my life is really boring, so I’ve been having a great summer. I owe it all to Pixar really,…
