What language would you like to learn?

We have foreign language in our grade school and its horrible. But I think its just the teacher.

What is it with foreign language teachers?? 8D It seems like a lot of them are like that, especially French teachers!

Mine is crazy! And we switch languages in the middle of the year.

My German teacher was from Italy.

I want to learn some Japanese.

I’d like to learn German someday. Other languages that interest me are Swiss, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Dutch, and Portuguese. :sunglasses:

Yay! I approve. German is a great language. However, Swiss is not a language. Switzerland’s four national languages are German, French, Italian, and Romansh.

Oh. Well, my bad.

Yup. My last name is German, and my grandpa is German. I don’t think I’ve actually got any German blood, though. :unamused:

Well, if your Grandpa is your biologcial one, then you are German. Its cool if you don’t want to answer. My Grandpa isn’t my biological one. So by blood I’m 1/4 Mexican, but I consider the Grandpa I was raised with make sme 1/4 Italian.

And Germany is great! I hope to go someday, I took three years of German, and I plan to one day take my dad there to the ancestral hometowns of our ancestors who came over around 100 years ago. My Great Grandfather actually came over 100 years ago this month through Ellis Island. His immigration papers say his nationality is Russian and race is German.

^ Yeah, I don’t mind. My grandpa that I was refering to isn’t my biological one. That’s what I was trying to say earlier, but for some reason the word “biological” was escaping me. And that’s really cool you know that much about your ancestry… I really don’t know hardly anything about mine. I have no idea who my real grandpa is on my dad’s side, and my mom’s family is so mixed up there’s no way to tell. Although I do know that I’ve got some Native American in me (I believe Cherokee) and I think some Scot or Irish. :sunglasses:

Wow, that’s so cool! I love the study of family history. After my grandmother passed on, I got a ton of family trees and pictures dating back to the 1820s. I’m the family historian basically. Also, a distant cousan of mine wrote and published a book of our family history, an interesting but long one, about their persecution as Germans by the Russians in the 19th Century. On the other side of my family I have ties to 1920s San Francisco Mafia and Bootleggers.

I’m taking french classes, I started a month and a half ago, kinda difficult, but I like it

French.

I am Dutch, but although i learned french and German at school, i forgot almost everything. This year i learned some french again because a former Disney designer from Disneyland paris who was french came to work at the Company where i was doing my internship. But i think french is What i want to learn more or just understand Japanse or Chinese because writing it woud be impossible to learn?

Spanish. I know how to count and do the alphabet in Spanish, but I’d like to learn more words and how to put them in sentences. I’d also like to learn French.

Milan used to do Spanish classes.

I had a few Spanish classes in Middle School and I wanted to learn more of it in High School, but there was this criteria where I had to have a certain amount of credits from English classes in order to take Spanish, which is kind of dumb.

Huh, that is dumb I’ve never heard of that.

I hate those stupid rules.

Me too, but I can still learn it anytime. A friend of mine showed me an online program where I can learn Spanish!
