What music do you listen to?

Linkin Park is the

only thing I ever listen to anymore. I wanna hear what band(s) members listen to.
My favorite songs are

“By Myself”," A place for my head", “Faint”, and
“Part of me”. My

sis loves the screaming parts. Right Fade?

What? No I don’t! You just turn up the volume when it comes up!

:unamused: Anyway, since you play it almost everytime, I’m starting to like it a bit. Though I do like It’s My

Life, even though it’s not from Linkin Park.

Oldies. Pretty much oldies

And pirate music . . . yeah pirate music . . .

Pirate music as in… actual

piratey ARR pirate music? If so, you and I probably need to get married XD

You hussy! You told me I was the only one!

Everyone loves pirate music!

Including

me!

The music I listen to the most is video game music. I probably have over 50 soundtracks for all kinds

of games, from Super Mario Bros. to Kingdom Hearts.

When it comes to actual singers and bands, I like Gwen

Stefani, Beyonce, Shakira, Sean Paul, etc. I pretty much like anything except for most country songs and heavy

metal.

And how could I not love Michael Giacchino and Randy Newman for their amazing scores in Pixar

films? :-D) I also love John Powell’s score from Ice Age 2: The Meltdown.

~~=oP

I love

Gorillaz, and a lot of Indie bands like Dirty Pretty Things, but my first love is trance music.

I’ll choose live music over a CD any day! Especially

rock. No real prefreance, I’ll listen to Metal, acid, goth, industrial punk, alternative… any rock genre I

love it all!

I listen to a whole bunch of

music… I wouldn’t be able to list them all.

I love listening to film scores. I want to become a film

composer soon. Some of my favourite film composers are Bernard Herrmann, David Newman, Randy Newman (hehe), and

Patrick Doyle. I have a few others, but I won’t go into detail. I’ve recently become fascinated with film

scores from the 40s to 60s.

I’ve always loved classical music… I’ve had to play these kinds of pieces

all my life, and I listen to it on the radio every day. Let’s see… there’s Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart, Dvorak,

Khachaturian, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Bach… ah, the list goes on.

Other than that, I listen to a lot

different things… rock, electronica, ambient electronica, alternative, metal, and jazz. I like Imogen Heap,

Frou Frou, Coldplay, Bix Beiderbecke, Boards Of Canada, Dredg, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra, Guns

n Roses, Nightwish, Randy Newman’s songs, Sigur Ros, Temposhark, Zoe Keating, and a bunch of other stuff.

I listen to a lot of soundtracks lately. The music from Pirates of the Caribbean (both movies)

is currently my favorite. The music from Finding Neverland is also really pretty.

Other than that, I like

to listen to… acoustic… indie like groups. I dont really know what to call them. Often times they are

classified as “Folk” but… I dont consider it that way. Of these I like Iron&Wine, Emiliana Torrini

(I probably spelled that wrong), and Azure Ray.

I had a phase when all I listened to was the Kingdom

Hearts soundtrack… does that mean you play the game, PixarVixen?

Yah, I like that score too… by Jan A. P. Kaczmarek. I’m glad he won an

Oscar.

By Pirate

Music I mean the soundtracks of Pirates of the Caribbean. I don’t know why: It’s just so catchy and epic!!

Makes piracy a real romantic lifestyle!!

I was disapointed that Gibb’s rendition of "Sixteen men on

a dead man’s chest" wasn’t on the soundtrack, though . . .

Indeed. Pirates of

the Caribbean has awesome music. I like the track “Jack Sparrow” on the second one.

Which do you

like better, the first or second soundtrack?

The, Dash Likes Music! :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok, y’all can squirm at this but I like country! Thus I was very happy to

attain the Cars soundtrack. Beyond this I also like film scores, musicals, 80s, 70s, some 60s and before, and I

have a thing for traditional worship hymns. Go figure. :unamused:

squirm :~o

I’m not so big on country, but

I’ll admit that after listening to the music in Cars, I’m a little more open to it. I like Brad Paisley. It

was neat to see him perform at the World Premiere, even when he played songs other than his from

Cars.

~~=oP

I don’t listen to country very

much but I do agree that Cars did open me up to it. Rascal Flatts is quite good. Actually I used to like in

Tennessee and back then I listened to Shania Twain. Except I was like in 3rd grade so at that time you just cheer

when it comes on during the “dances”.

hums The World

^__~

She’s the

only country singer I really really like. I have her greatest hits CD.

~~=oP

Aw, you get some good country singers! Shania Twain

obviously, Kenny Rogers, John Hartford, Johnny Cash, Teri Clark… Er, okay, I’ve exhausted my list.

I like country rather well, too, and

southern rock. I could never say that I have a favorite band or even a favorite genre, though; with me it’s

mostly just I like this song or that song, but it’s rare that I’ve heard more than two or three songs by any

one band. The only band that I’ve heard a lot of songs by would be a band known as The Kentucky Headhunters,

and that’s only because our family is friends with them. :unamused: I will be surprised beyond words if anybody here

has heard of them.

I listen to a lot of soundtracks. I love the Cars soundtrack to death;

“Sh-Boom” and John Mayer’s “Route 66” are the most fun to sing along with, although

“Find Yourself” is probably my favorite song overall. I also enjoy the The Incredibles soundtrack, of

course, and I’ve got some orchestral Super Smash Bros. Melee music on my MP3 player. I’ve also got the

soundtrack to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, but I don’t listen to that as much, although I do still

like it.

Edit: Can’t forget Monty Python music! Always look on the bright

side of life…
