What was Rollie eating in the teaser trailer?

If it was a broken bottle, then Rollie wouldn’t be

living. Rats could die if given something sharp like that.

The way he’s

eating the food, it looks a bit chewy…

My guess is it’s:

10% what ever it used to be, 40% mold, 25% dirt, and another 25% grubs…

Kinda funny. Wish I was the

computer modeler who created that piece!

I always wondered the same thing. I’ll have to check out the trailer on my Cars DVD. I first thought it was a crumpled piece of paper, but it was softer than paper. Then I thought it was some sort of moldy cheese. I have no clue. I don’t even think Emile should be eating it.

Heheh. I just noticed the name in the thread title. “Rollie”. :unamused: Memories.

~~=oP

Yeah. I like “Emile” better.

Not to get of topic, but why did they call him Rollie.
P.S. please dont answer like this
because it was a rumor
or wikipedia
explain how it came about please
and thank you

I’m guessing because he is kinda big and would roll around.

Thanks, rachelcakes1985!
That sounds right.

Uhh…unsure if anybody noticed…but isn’t the trailer piece of garbage the SAME exact piece of garbage Emile had when he and Remy reunited. Although Emile doesn’t know what it is, he may be more closer in saying it “may have been a wrappeer”.

Yeah, I noticed that.

Rolle, I remember that. Emile was a cuter name for him though

Right on, Nexas! I actually love the way he says, “I think it was some kind of wrapper once” - the ‘once’ implying that it’s gone through several lifetimes since then. If you look closely in the movie, it has a clown face on it that looks a bit like a Jack-in-the-Box/generic fast-food wrapper. To me, it was just one more example of the subtle way they equate junk food (and by extension, the industrial/commercial structures that produce it) with garbage. My educated guess, and I think I’m right, is it’s a leftover piece of a fast-food burger which… well, not to get too graphic, but you know how when you leave that last bite of a burger in the brown paper bag, and it slowly soaks through the side of the bag and sorta becomes one with it in a meaty/cheesy/papery/moldy/gooey mess? I’d lay money on that this is IT!

And with that, my lunch is officially canceled.
