What's on your mind? (Status Updates)

Why do Winnie the Pooh and Harry Potter come out on the same day?? It stinks :open_mouth:

Well, I feel good. These pills are fantastic!! I had 4 teeth ripped out 2 days ago, and I feel nothing!! I’m happy.

That’s great, IV! I love it when things work out better than expected.

Thanks, Leirin! I’m happy too.

I’ve been gone for so long, I’ve missed so much!

What’s on my mind? I’m back in my native land of California, but I wish I was back on the East Coast. I love seeing new places and people.

Oh, and I’m seeing Cars 2 tonight with my siblings and friends.

Welcome back!

I missed you, e-j-e

It felt so wrong without you here for that long, e-j-e! Welcome back!

Welcome back, Kenzie!
I’m also glad you feel all right, Virginia.
And me, I’m very happy, because I found out that I’m going to Cars 2 on Tuesday instead of Saturday!

Welcome back ellie-jessie-eve! We missed you all so much!

Hear, hear! I’m glad you’re back, e-j-e!

Yes. Like the rest of us, I’m very happy that Kenzie is back. I loved New York. Did you like it?

Thanks, Grace! hug

Yay, I’m glad you guys missed me, I thought you might not even notice too much my absense! And Virginia, I loved New York City. I wish I could of stayed there even longer.

Oh, and Virginia I met a group of Tennesseans and they taught me all about Californian stereotypes.

Really? Personally, the only Californian stereotypes I know of is that they(you?) are extremely Liberal, and have funny accents. :stuck_out_tongue: Which is ironic to me, because I find many people here to be nosey Nazi prudes with the most annoying accent in the world. I always try my best not to speak with a terribly Southern accent.

Ah sterotypes, sometimes they’re fun depending on how they’re presented and who by (as long as it’s in good fun). Of course it also depends on the person on the recieving end depending on the implications and such.

For instance sometimes my more amusing religious friends did call me a baby eater a couple of times as an aethist (including a couple of others). They get away with it as my friends and when things like that are made in jest I find it kind of hilarious though silly. I mean what, don’t I get a side order of adorable puppies with that? It’s not a complete meal without the appropriate side!!!

I’m pretty sure they’re joking after all and mocking certain other viewpoints held by other christians on the matter.

Otherwise if they’re serious the fact they laugh when they said it is all the more disturbing and I don’t want to knopw what goes on in their churches if they’d actually hang out with a baby eater.

Granted in all seriousness baby eating is not an atheist sterotype so much as a rediculous attribute which is so out there I’m not sure those who do make it seriously know how silly it sounds but eh.

(I mean does anyone make it seriously actually? I mean I honestly think it was something atheists just decided themselves to say and make fun of since we apparently should have no morals and thus decided the most horrible thing to do would be eating babies and used this to mock this viewpoint. I’m guessing that’s what happened.)

Wisdom teeth??

I’m crying at this. Great little animation and music.

Have you guys ever done something for someone, on a really big scale, and have never been so excited to give/do that for anyone?

It’s a fantastic feeling.

Leirin, that video was beautiful. I’m drowning in tears now. It’s so sweet and sad! :frowning:

Awww, but I LOVE Southern Accents! That was my favorite part of the Tennesseans. I like Tennessee, I want to visit Nashville someday. I also shared with them what Californians see of Tenneseeans

Here are the stereotypes I learned:

Californians are all rich (Not in my case)
Californians love to smoke marijuana (not in my case, but it is very common!)
Californians are all tan (I am)
Californians like to surf (I wish!)
Californians wear sunglasses all the time (Guilty as charged!)
Californians love the beach! (I live near San Fran, so yeah. Water’s too cold for that)
Californians all know a celebrity (I don’t. But John Lasseter lives in my town, and Robin Williams use to as well)
Californians are very liberal: (So So. Near the coast and cities it’s liberal, but the rest of the state is mostly Conservative)

As for funny accents. I find that so funny! I didn’t think I had one, it’s weird to think how I sound to others. There was also a group from Minnesota, and their accents were HILARIOUS! They sounded like Sarah Palin! And they didn’t say Soda, they said Pop! 8D

What do YOU guys call it? Soda? Pop? Coke?

Southern accents make me sort of mad. I despise them. 8D And personally, most people I know say coke, but I usually say soda.
