Well, on the bright side, at least that means you did a good job hiding it! On the other hand, maybe you did such a poor job hiding it that someone found the money before you did.
The soda vending machine in my apartment building now has a device for students to use debit/credit cards instead of cash. As someone trying to stop drinking Coke, and also someone who rarely has cash, this is rather unfortunate news.

When I was in high school, my mom gave me birthday money to spend while we were in Disney World, and for some reason, she thought it would be a good idea to give me $50 bills. I didn’t have a wallet or purse back then! Needless to say, I was holding my park maps in the same pocket as my money and one of them fell out and was never found. I kept telling myself that I made a stranger VERY happy in an already happy place, because otherwise I would have been pretty sad…
