Its 2am here, and I CANNOT sleep I’ve been laying in my bed for what feels like forever when its only been three hours since I went to bed and I have school today!
I was kicking myself for not going to Bronycon last year, when they were filming the documentary. My folks advised me against taking leave cos I was still on probation for my new job, but I found out I was actually entitled to it!
Coulda got some autographed merch from Tara Strong and John deLancie if I had funded their kickstarter campaign too! I plan to save up and go to this year’s in Baltimore, but the prices of the tier to get merch are ridiculously expensive (not to mention New York was a fantastic venue, nothing against Marylanders, mind you!).
I’m really excited for Ponycon AU, though, cos’ it’s held at the uni bar of my alma mater. I used to book events at that venue as the internal secretary of a university society back in the day, and I attended an anime convention there once. My previous house is just down the road, so when I return to see my siblings (who are now staying there), there are gonna be lotsa “weird” people walking down my street this weekend!
Bonanna: Try counting sheep! Or solve maths problems in your head. The trick is to do something really boring that will lull you to slumberland. It’s also best not to drink coffee or other stimulants, and to “wind down” with a good book and low lighting (although if you’ve eaten sugar and played videogames all night, I guess it’s too late now!).
…
Packing my bags to go to Sydney. Thinking of what to wear and bring.
I don’t know how you got the information so early, but we’re still discussing what can be done to avoid the closure of the site.
Sadly, apparently there’s no much that the administrators will be able to do.
Now that the information has filtered, I would advice you all to remain calm until an official announcement is done, which will be probably happen this week. In any case the measure won’t be executed until around May.
Interesting little April Fool’s Joke. I think a tiny part of me would have died if that came true. And Spirit, were you helping in playing along with the little prank? I see that you were on at the same time. Rather suspicious.
So sorry to hear that! I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better, though.
I need to do that! And I think I know exactly how to hook my parents’ interest too!
