I’m excited to know what you think, Spirit! ![]()
Today I’ve been assigned a preview screening for another blockbuster. All I can say for now is that it’s a sequel, it’s massive, and it’s one I’m looking forward to. ![]()

I must admit I was underwhelmed by the film.
It’s not bad, it just was flawed. My expectations where too high and the film didn’t met with them.
The first one is still the best one, I think.
I went for a rewatch with a friend (who was seeing it for the first time). He had read my published review and was excited to see it. After the movie, I asked him how many stars out of 5 would he give and he said 3.
How many did I give? Stay tuned, I will post my published review on my blog (those of you on FB would’ve seen my post already).
Needless to say, I agree with you that the first film is still the best. It had that spirit (pardon the pun) of innocence and discovery, especially when Tony had to improvise his suit in the beginning. The scene where he tests the suit remains one of my favourite scenes from a superhero movie and I used to listen to that part of the soundtrack over and over again when I was doing creative stuff during my uni days (along with Miami International from Casino Royale soundtrack).
I have to say, though, Ben Kingsley made an excellent Mandarin.
I agree that Ben Kingsley made an incredible performance. Not an incredible Mandarin, though.
His character’s reveal is one of the things that made my opinion of the film a lot lower than it should.
I’m desperate for them to fix it in a future instalment, hopefully The Avengers 2.
Yeah, I mentioned that it will divide fans in my review (which I will post later). Some professional reviewers I read loved it, while a lot of the vitirol came from netizens. I guess it really depends on how connected you are to the comic book’s portrayal.
Also, I can understand how some people might be upset, as another fellow reviewer of mine said, it’s tantamount to [spoil]revealing that the Joker, Batman’s greatest nemesis, is a phoney.[/spoil]
I personally loved it, because it was so surreal and hilarious, although yes, I wish [spoil]he had used the Ten Rings and their mystical powers.[/spoil]

Tomorrow’s my break for Labour Day, so I’ve got the whole day ahead of me to clean my room and hang up some neat posters I got from Ponycon AU. I might go watch Olympus Has Fallen time permitting, but most likely I’ll see it on the weekend instead.
Also thinking of getting Lego Undercover: The Chase Begins.
[size=85]Talk to the badge, cos’ I don’t have ears![/size]
That, verbatim.
I very angry about that. I’m a big LEGO video games fan, and I can’t get this one because it isn’t coming in PC ![]()
I watched Life Of Pi which has now cemented itself as my favourite film of 2012. Lincoln. And The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey which now I am sure of my opinion that it is entertaining as a film (the score, locations and Casting is fantastic), however is a disappointment as an adaption of one of my favourite books of all time and the CGI Orcs aren’t great either. Hopefully the next two will be better.
I was watching Man on Fire.
Bestfirends Birtday tommorow, Makeing a bunch of balloons for her!
<3
Watching Home Alone.
I watched A Late Quartet.
Watching The Darjeeling Limited.
Oh that’s nice of you.
Does anybody have Pirates Of The Caribbean Lego and Lego Batman 2? Because I have played the demo of them on my Xbox 360 and they seem so awesome!
Made a video about women who wear too much mske up and get breast implants
Well guys, I haven’t posted for about of week, but I’m almost done with high school. In fact, you should probably not expect to see me around here until the very end of May, and officially back in June. I’m just going to finish my time at my high school, which I am displeased to say did not go well. High school is not supposed to be particularly easy, but the place where I’ve gone the last four years just totally throws common sense out the window. Being over-stressed, sleeping five to six hours every night for the last two and a half years (the first 1.5 were fine) is no fun, especially when you’re not treated particularly nice there. Really none of my classmates are responsible for this, they are just as tired and stressed as I am, and we helped each other get through the toughest of times. I’m proud of them for that. It’s mostly the adults we had to work with. There were a few excellent teachers, and some were okay, but the rest just made life harder for no reason. What’s worse is that the people in my class were pretty much the top performers in our class. But I don’t have to deal with their mis-management of school duties and snide remarks anymore after this month, so that is a huge relief. I don’t recommend my school to anybody at all…
On a much more positive note, I’ve done some fun things! We celebrated my mom’s birthday this past Sunday. We had dinner at our favorite restaurant, and then went to probably the most fun night of the year…I actually got to see the real Mater, Larry the Cable Guy in person here in Tucson!
I didn’t meet him, but there he was on the stage! We purchased our tickets almost two months ago, so watching him live was a lot of fun. It was his regular stand-up comedy which I know a lot of people don’t like…alright. My family and I loved it, though; he was so hilarious! Not only that, he did get serious at one or two points just about life in general, and I really liked what he had to say. He was so right, about how people should treat each other fairly. It was also funny because about halfway through, a few owls flew up and hung out above the stage. He acknowledged them and joked that now he was gonna have to compete with the owls. ![]()
Meanwhile, I’ve also told my parents about some of the movies, mostly from DreamWorks, that I’ve been meaning to see, so now they know and it won’t be so awkward when I’m ready to see them. So I’m very excited about that. In general, I anticipate ending high school, watching Monsters University on June 21 (possibly even the midnight premiere), and even seeing many other films I’ve missed these past couple of years!
Oh yeah, and one more thing…
Git 'R Done!
Yes! We’re all Lego fans here. We’ve completed all their games. I personally can’t wait for Lego Marvel!
SoA: I bought Lego Undercover: The Chase Begins on my off day for Labour Day and so far it’s been a blast! Missing pets, grand theft auto, bank robberies… life is never boring for rookie cop Chase McCain! ![]()
It’s great to hear you’re a Lego fan too. I have Batman, Indy (but I didn’t do Last Crusade yet) and POTC on PSP. I plan to get Lord Of The Rings when I can afford it. ![]()

How’s my hair?
Today was a good day, I got a bunch of free comic books for Free Comic Book Day (unfortunately, I didn’t get the titles I wanted except Mousehunt, which I always get every year, thank goodness!). Tried a new ramen joint. Watched Olympus Has Fallen, which almost copies Die Hard beat for story beat and is heeeaaaps better than A Good Day To Die Hard (though Gerard Butler’s Secret Service agent is ruthless and unsympathetic, unlike the wisecracking John McClane). And bought Spy Hunter, a kick*ss driving game, for half the price of other retailers!
Lego City is the only one we don’t own. Just because it wasn’t released on PC ![]()
I love this video! I don’t understand all this superficial-ness going on. Most often, make-up makes you less pretty.
I personally use lip gloss, in light colors(ok, sometimes red) and small amounts.
Watching Chocolat.
