Yesterday was July the 21th, and for those who don’t know it, it was the aniversary of the publishing of the final Harry Potter entry.
We celebrated it by having this week’s marathon on the films adaptations, which is a crazy long marathon to have.
Being the more obsesive fans of the novels that I know, we’ve always been extremely critical of the films. I think yesterday was the first time I was able to enjoy every one of them since their respective releases. I don’t judge them in comparisson to the novels anymore (though I still love those obsesively), but as films. And yes, there’s still a lot that went wrong, but there are also admirable things that I never appreciated. Can’t wait to make my new marathon of the books!
I had to sleep in Mom’s room last night because it smelled really bad outside my own room.
