Well Congrats on getting your permit! Yeah, driving for the first time is pretty scary, especially when you do something wrong and the person your driving with starts yelling at you You get used to driving over time though, and driving by yourself is surprisingly cool
I’m going to go apply for my senior year of high school tomorrow morning, and I’d be lying if I said I was excited to go. I know the line’s going to be huge and I’ll be there for at least an hour and a half. The only real reason I need to go is to 1. Get my parking permit 2. Figure out if I can get my first period off and 3. Get a Senior class of 2011 T-Shirt.
Ugh, I can’t wait for that to be over, and it’s the last time I have to do it!
Much congrats Ding! I got my permit last month (yeah, I got it when I was 18. So what?), and it’s been fun driving, almost hit a few cars! Hahaha, for the sake of everyone in your town I hope you’re a better drive than me!
Ding: Driving on the road is quite nervewracking the first time. My instructors had me on the road only a week after I started driver’s ed. THAT was pretty scary! Congrats on the permit!
Speaking of driving, I sent in my driving times about a week ago, so we’re still waiting for a time for my driver’s test. I’m not getting myself worked up about it, though - I’m pretty sure I’m gonna do fine.
I hope you get a time for your test soon, Daughter of Eve. My mom spent like an hour on the phone with the RMV to schedule my road test.
Right now I’m not all that happy because I have to start doing summer work. I have so much to do for AP Spanish. It is ridiculous. But, I am going out to lunch with some friends today, so that could be fun.

Good luck with your test when you book it, Daughter of Eve! It’s good to be confident- positive thinking gets positive results. What’s driver’s ed? Over here, the first time I learnt anything about driving was when I got in the car with my driving instructor and started driving along (very slowly, admittedly. ) I miss my driving instructor. He was such a cool guy!
Lizardgirl: It basically just stands for “driver’s education”… you have a “class” two times a week for 3 hours and they go over basic stuff about driving, getting your first car, staying safe on the road, etc. Then after you finish 30 hours of class time and so many hours of driving with the instructors (I can’t remember how many hours exactly), you have to take a “driver’s test”, and if you pass, you can get your permit.
I liked my driving instructors, too. They let me listen to the radio in the car and we had some pretty fun conversations.
Drivers ed for me was so boring. I took it for 4 days over March break last year, and it was honestly the most mundane thing ever. My teacher was really funny, but he had this habit of saying “okay” at the beginning and end of literally every sentence. One day, I just decided to keep a tally of how many times he said it in my notebook. 836. In one day. Keep in mind half the time spent at drivers ed is spent watching safety videos, so in a period of about 3 1/2 hours, he said “okay” 836times.
My driving istructor was pretty cool. He played good music, and he didn’t yell. He was a little nervous when he took me on the highway for the first time. He was more nervous than I was

Meh, I tried to draw outside a couple minutes ago, but I think it’s just one of those poopy, yucky drawing days when nothing looks good.
Hehe i know what your talk’n bout… yeah… one tried to beat me up… he kept acting like he was shooting me. i told him to stop he said make me and he was bout to punch me then a football player came and told him to stop he said make me and then they got into a huge fight… me and the football player are now friends… and he cried at the last day of school and gave me hugs… alot of hugs… i miss him…
