my oldest niece got engaged recently and is getting married this summer. I feel old sometimes.

Right now I’m rushing to start a 1500-word essay which is due in less than 24 hours. Start, mind you. At 2 in the morning.
And I’m reading terms like ‘Critical Discourse Analysis’ and I’m thinking ‘Child Detection Agency’, and ‘Nail House’, and I think of Carl’s house from Up. God, this is so bucking foring. 
Chris Brown, just because I dislike you with the whole Rihanna incident, that doesn’t mean that I don’t like your music. I have got 2 songs of yours on my ipod, and I’m about to add a third.
I finished school before noon, so now I’m free to goof off for the rest of the day!

My thoughts are terribly rambly today. 
I’m happy for my niece. I hope that she will be happy in her life. I’m happy in my life. I could have much fuller life.
Gonna spend some quality time with my favorite people in the world tomorrow.
I’m going out of town today with my parents. And unfortunately, they’re in a goofy mood. 
So I finished this particularly hllish 1500-word academic essay in less than 12 hours and I managed to hand it in time with a 90% self-satisfaction rate (honestly, I don’t think I’d change anything even if I had more time, so I’m contented)! We had to submit it online and the deadline was 11:59 pm and I made it on the dot with the system registering me at 11:59 pm exactly. YEEESSS…!!! Take that homework, I p** on you from a great height! I can’t wait to take on the other assignments.
And lo and behold, no sooner did I complete this Herculean task than I was granted one of my greatest wishes (with regards to films, that is). Blue Sky has released an official film music video for Rio! And it’s starring Taio “I’m gonna break break break, break break break, your heart!” Cruz! In freakin’ Rio de Janeiro! With a pretty girl! And massive projections of scenes from the movie draped all over Rio City Hall!
I’m so happy! Can you tell? I feel like how Pinky Pie does pretty much all the time. It’s 3 in the morning and I’m like hollering the hook line and cartwheeling all over the room. Hope I don’t wake the neighbours. WAY too excited to sleep.

As of today, best day of spring break. Too bad vacations always don’t last very long. THey go too fast.

Today was SA-WEET. My mom was in a good mood. I drove her out of town (even on the freeway!) for some driving pratice. We went to both Starbucks and In-N-Out. We never go out to places, so twice in one day was great. Oh, and for breakfast shewent to Bagle Shop, and got me a bagle. I’m satisfied, and I enjoyed spending time with her.
I was basically doing the exact same thing, but while competitively playing Pikmin 2 with my brother. Especially anything that dealt with winning.

I’m very disappointed and upset today. And I might be for the next week.
it is very frustrating when you work so hard for something, and you fight for everything you’ve got, only to end up falling short of accopmlishing your goal. Very heartbreaking. Now, after it slipped through my fingers, I want it more than ever.
I just got back from having ice cream and catching up with one of my best friends from when I was in middle/high school. It was nice to see her after so long, she’s in a college in another state.

TSS, I’m so sorry to hear of your story. All I can say is, my thoughts are with you, and I hope that no matter how grim things are, you must never give up. You must keep on fighting. Look at it this way. What is your dream? To be an actor. Is its success solely dependent on you going to this college? Or do you already have what it takes inside you? If you don’t succeed now, you’ll succeed someday.
For example, I doubt I’ll be able to work at Pixar at the moment. But that doesn’t mean I’ve given up the dream. I just work harder now, and maybe a few years down the road, my artistic and writing skills would’ve improved enough for me to have another shot. I’ve also broadened my options. If I work at Dreamworks Animation, Blue Sky, Animal Logic, or even a movie magazine company like Empire or Total Film, I would be just as happy. The most important thing is loving what you do and doing what you love, not the institution you learn it at or where you work.
