While I’m 70% pleased with the new Cars 2 trailer, I really wished that:
They included more footage of the new characters, instead of focusing on Mater for more than half the screentime.
They used a better background music. The teaser’s use of Bitter:Sweet’s Trouble and the first trailer’s use of the Vantage Point main theme remain the best examples so far.
The editing wasn’t so haphazard and ‘chopping back and forth’. Compare this with Wall-E and Ratatouille’s trailers and see how manic the cuts are in this one.
They included more intense and thrilling footage. It’s great that we get to see more action scenes, and I particularly love what looks to be the movie’s climax sequence hinted at just before the title card. But less ‘Materhosen’ and falling into septic trucks, please.
But all in all, great effort by Pixar, and I just hope the movie will impress me more than their trailers did. If it’s any consolation, they didn’t include the annoying bidet joke this time!
TSS: I can’t wait for assignments to be over man. I gotta start job-hunting.
Right now I’m thinking of my promise to meet my friends to go out to the city today, but I’m so wasted after yesterday’s assignment that I’d rather spend time here writing on a fan forum.
I am too Grace, it’s so exciting!! I remember last week the first time I saw a bit of advertising. I made my mom flip back and rewatch the commercial a coupla times
Guys my grandmom just had a stroke and I could really use some prayers. This is so scary
Today was my little sister’s Future Farmers of America banquet. She was an officer this year, so she helped prepare it and run it.
She was re-elected as Reporter, her second year as that officer (when I was in High School, I was the FFA President). She also got her Chapter Degree.
My Dad was also honored with the Honorary FFA Chapter Degree, for his time and dedication to the Chapter, such as helping teach the school’s Plant and Soil Science class how to prune our school’s grapevines.
I’m sorry they attacked you, Virginia Darn those rocks!
My brother’s running in the regional track meet today in CYO, and he’s really good, but I haven’t actually seen him run yet so I’m gonna go later to watch. I hope he does well! He made it to cities last year, but I hope he can get farther!
During it there was Breaking News at the bottom of the screen saying there’s a car accident on the Golden Gate Bridge, and all traffic is clowed. It must be really bad if it inturrupted the TV show I’m watching!
Just finished my last final, today, yet I’m still feeling tense about it, especially since I can’t learn my grade for even part of it until later. Not something you’d expect for an online exam.
