What's the best way to clean my Jessie doll?

I asked this three times on the TSC thread but no one answered but I would REALLY like to know what is the best way to clean my Toy Story collection Jessie. I don’t want to put an electronic talking doll in the washing machine and the tag says she’s made of Polyester fibers so I don’t know if that material is washer friendly or not. My mother suggested a Tide Stick but I wanted to know what you people though. Please give me your input.

How is she dirty? That would affect the way to clean her, I think. If she has stains on her clothing, a Tide to Go stick should do the job.

I can’t really tell how she’s dirty. I do sleep with her a lot ^^; so that could’ve helped… It’s just the clothes that are dirty. And then it’s just her shirt and cuffs.
Here are some pictures. sorry they’re so big. I wanted to get all the details

Yeah, I can see the dirt collecting on her. I’m not sure if Tide to Go would help that much in this case; it is more for stains from food than dirt. If you tried using it though, I do not think it would all damage her.

Have you emailed Thinkway about a reccomendation for cleaning her? They seem to respond to customers fairly quickly.

no, I haven’t. How would I do that?

all you need to do is email or call them. Contact info is on their website

Ah, thanks. I’ll e-mail them. Then I can see them my pictures

Call Geri the cleaner of course. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s perfect!

Actually, if you rewathed this scene from Toy Story 2, it might provide you with some pointers!

I emailed them weeks ago but they unfortunately have not replied :frowning:

LOL Actually, finding someone of that profession might not be a bad idea.

Oh, that stinks. Whenever that happens to my doll clothes, I rub tape all over them and it comes off.

I don’t think you should go for a professional yet, I mean the methods they use could very well be used by you. And also, a little wear on Jessie just makes her more realistic.

Good point. Especially considering she’s supposed to be a down and dirty cowgirl.
The tape idea sounds like a good idea

It doesn’t look that bad. The tape method could work, if the fabric is thick enough (just trying to be careful). Do you have any other photos of the doll, by the way? Not to pester you or anything, I just love looking at photos of fancy toys.

XD I’ve taken other shots of her for fun. For starters, I did a review for her on my blog ninjapiratereviews.blogspot.com/ … essie.html
I’ll post other photos in the TSC thread later

You could try a damp towel and scrub her clean or a pet hair remover thingy that rolls My Jessie is not as dirty as yours but she does have dust on her that I couldn’t get off. I got the pet hair removal sticky roll thingy and it came off  I also cut off that tag on her leg and sowed it on the inside where her on and off button is just in case a FBI comes to my house and ask where the tag is o:

Thank you for the advice. I’ve actually kinda gotten used to the dirty-ness but I may try those suggestions.
I’ve considered cutting that tag off myself. I think the FBI has more to worry about than that stupid tag XD (I think that’s more for retail stores than the owners anyway)

Yes, those tags are just for stores, their not to sell items that have had it removed. They really couldn’t care less what the customer does with it.
