While one might put up a Pixar-related wallpaper, for those that uses mobiles do you use a Pixar-related ringtone?
Me- I’ve using the following (and I’ve got links to share them around too)
Incoming Call: Violet speaking: “You might want to answer this, that’s your phone ringing. Really loud.” (Link)
SMS: Monsters. Inc. title music (Link)
If you use a Pixar-related ringtone, do people “get” it? Or do people just pass it off as some exotic ringtone? (My incoming call one no-one gets, they just think it’s just a girl speaking.)
I like twinkly-sounding ringtones so my ringtone, alarm and message alert all sound like that. I would use the Mario Bros. underground theme or any of its variations, but then I’d start associating that music with my phone ringing (duh!).The one I’ve used ever since I got my phone is called “Piano Glide”, and it’s nice and high-pitched so it cuts through most noise. If you want to hear what it sounds like, here’s a video of someone dancing to it. Yeah. Random.
I want to get nice ringtones… But Instead I’m stuck with the generic pants the phone company places on it… Its so annyoing when you have a catalogue of ideas you want to put in for all your close Friends…
Since having the iPhone I’ve lost all my fun ringtones created by others…
Nokia theme into the Jack Sparrow Theme… Into the Sound of the Tardis (Dr Who) and then back to the Nokia Theme…
The “Holidays are coming” The infamous Coke-Cola jingle from Christmas.
I need to work a way of getting some variance onto my iPhone… Got to start working this out…
Garageband can convert any audio file that you can drag and drop to iTunes, and it syncs to your iPhone. If you don’t have Garageband, I’m happy to do it for you.
You don’t like the Marimba? Or the Tri-Tone? I mean, when I had a (working!) iPhone I didn’t change it.
I like the tri tone… mainly cause it confuses friends when their on the computers with thier iPods plugged in…
Marimba not so much… I’m currently using timba… don’t know why… have piano riff in use for my girlfriend and Strum for another friend…
The only problem with creating my own is I have so many I want as ringtones… from Sections of High School Musical (Yes I am a BIg Fan of the Franchise… But Know I’d be better than Effron at playing Bolton… and I’m ordering a Jersey for my Teaching practise)… to Pieces of the Soundtrack of Toy Story, Covers of Classic Disney tracks… and such… and even the Superman Theme…
I just use one of the ring tones that came with my mobile phone, nothing special really. I hadn’t thought about using anything Pixar-related, that’s for sure!
I have ringtones for the people in my contacts that expresses their interests/personality so I know who’s calling without looking (very handy since my front screen has gone dead). None of them are that into Pixar sadly, so no Pixar ringtones.
Although my text message alert is MO doing the Whoah whoah thing which I ripped from the OST.
Ringtone = Portal radio tune
SMS = Just a simple “click” noise. It’s very handy if I forget to turn my phone to silent at school. People ignore a “click”.
I’m glad to have the LG Viewty. It’s got touchscreen, get a lot more flexibility then the iPhone. The wallpaper is a fish that swims to your finger when you touch it!
I switch ringtones almost weekly. At the moment mine is the Benny Hill theme.
It seems every few weeks it goes back to the first 14 seconds of Glory Days. Which sounds awesome from a red and black phone.
myxer.com has helped my ringtone library grow to what it is today.
I have a couple at the moment depending who’s calling me. One is the Harry Potter theme song (Hedwig’s Theme) and the other is the Peanut’s theme song (Linus and Lucy).
After Finally Getting the Courage to try and get some ringtones on the iPhone… I did it…
Ok… So their not great … But If you know Me… You Know I love my Disney…
