When do you think Woody ends up with the others?

Woody gets choosen by Andy to go to college with him. However in one night time scene in the trailers he’s there with them.

So when do you think he ends up with the gang? How long will time pass between Buzz and the gang getting thrown out? How do you think Woody gets to them? Or is he some how with them already and some thing happens to him to get the guy sidetracked?

I know, wait for the film. This is just speculation though

I think Woody joins them after the day care closes the day that the toys get there. I suspect that’s where RC comes in, to get Woody to the daycare

really good observation

I was wondering about RC, too. But we have seen that image of Woody and all the other toys in the Sunnyside box. My guess is he tries to convince them Daycare is bad, and the others insist it’s a chance at a new life. Then, similar to how he was too late to get Jessie out of the luggage, a human comes by and picks up the box, throws in Woody thinking he’s meant in it, and that’s where the first still comes in. In the daycare, they’re all anxious to be played with, except Woody who gives up trying to tell them about the dangers of pre-schoolers and hides, allowing the toys to get trashed. At night, the other toys are convinced to escape, and that’s why we see Woody outside with them. It’s also why woody isn’t banged up like them.

Just my thoughts

I found a goody on Wikipedia that pretty much explains everything about how they escape from the garbage. It’s from a person who saw a pre-screening, and there have been known to be screenings of TS3 in the past few months.

[spoil]"In the plot it says that the toys are thrown away and picked up by the garbage man. This is only partially right. They are accidentally thrown away, but they manage to escape before the garbagemen get around to them. The toys hide in Andy’s mom’s van to avoid being seen. Woody tries to convince the other toys that it was an accident and that they weren’t meant to be thrown away. While Woody struggles with the other toys, Andy’s mom gets in the van and drives to a local daycare to donate some old toys. All the toys hide in the box that’s meant to be donated. Obviously, I don’t have a source so you’ll just have to take my word on it. I saw an advanced screening about a month ago. "[/spoil]

Interestingly, they posted this way before the picture of the toys in the van was released. So I definitely think this is true.

Ah, now it all makes sense. Excellent find, Bryko614! You always seem good at finding this kind of stuff.

Oh, by the way, on an unrelated note, the person also stated that Bo Peep will not be returning at all. She is mentioned in the movie though.

Man, that’s a real disappointment. If that’s true then I guess it’s just going to be a line from Woody. I can only imagine how tragic it must be for him, after all she was always his love interest and now time has separated them. Whether or not she was considered a major character in the other two films, she was still a very important character for Woody in that regard so it makes you wonder how they could just leave her out (maybe they had difficulties trying to get Annie Potts to do the voice again). Guess Lee was only being partially honest when he said that Bo Peep would be in Toy Story 3.

What? D:

Aww, I hope that part isn’t true. That’s not fair, poor Woody. :frowning:

I can imagine Woody mentioning her and probably being depressed about it, but still. No fair!

Where on wikipedia did you find this anyway? o_O

Oh and I put a spoil tag on your quote… just in case.

in the new trailer/teaser woody is in the box with the other toys

Sorry for bringing this back up, but you can probably imagine why I want to discuss this quote. So many questions; would the garbage man have been Sid, will there be deleted scenes (it must’ve been at least partially finished). I still prefer the final, Pizza Planet tribute to them escaping.

I was talking about the inciting incident at the beginning of the movie there, not the climax. So it remained in the movie.

Whoops, I read it too fast. I thought the garbage man actually picked them up at that point.
