I know some of this might have already been talked about but I made a new topic anyway.
I think we will see the first theatrical trailer for Ratatouille in early February when the SuperBowl is
on, February 4th to be exact. Because Cars had a TV spot for the SuperBowl last year so why shouldn?t
Ratatouille?
When do you guys think we will see the first theatrical trailer for Ratatouille?

Hmmā¦thatās a good speculation: The Superbowl. I never would have thought of
that. And yes, they did show a couple of Cars trailers made specifically for that
occassion; they were quite funny, actually.
Me? I estimate that a new
Ratatouille trailer will be released sometime around Christmas, perhaps with the
film Charlotteās Webā¦which will be airing in cinemas this December.

Side-Note - As a side note, I
would also like to mention that Charlotteās Web (the book and the film) both
feature a rat named Templeton (who, of course, happens to be my favorite character). Since there is a fuzzy
rodent in the movie, perhaps they will pay tribute to this by showing a new
Ratatouille trailer? We may never know until we know⦠(heheh)
Super Bowlās way too far away.
Christmas is more likely.
Summer 07 is very crowded with lots of blockbusters, so Disney will start the
marketing early.
I hope soon. I get anxious every day.Maybe we will see it
as a preview 6 months before the movie is actually realeased.
Thatās not the only connection Templeton has with Pixar. Templeton is voiced
by the superb (and handsome
) Steve Buscemi, and he also voiced Randall Boggs and once said that he would
be very, very pleased to return to Pixar one day.

lizardgirl - Ahhā¦yes. How could I possibly forget that?

I rather wonder whether Mr. Buscemi will voice a minor character in
Ratatouille? True, he has not even been mentioned; however, it is a possibility,
especially seeing that he wouldnāt mind returning to Pixar in the near future.
I wonder. What will the new theatrical trailer feature?

The Star
Swordsman -
Probably a little bit of everything, I imagine:
(the Eiffel Tower included, of course)
- Glimpses of the sewers
- A peak at Remyās family, perhaps
-
Insights into previously āun-talkedā about characters
At least, thatās what I hope it contains
ā heheh.
Iām pretty sure, weāll see Auguste Gusteauo and Linguini.
Iāve actually had this question for quite a while now, so here it
goesā¦
Has it actually been confirmed that the name of the fat, brown rat in the trailer is Rollie? Iāve
never seen any official sources that confirms this. I know this might sound crazy, but donāt you think itās
possible that Linguini IS Rollie? Just a thought.
CountSolo: No Rollie name has not yet been confirmed but I just say ?Rollie?
because it easier then saying ? the fat brown rat?.
A few days ago on Wikipedia it said Linguini is was Rollie
but its not on there any more. You might seen this post I did on another topic:
In the paragraph for the new Ratatouille review it says:
Remy
finds himself paired up with a garbage boy named Linguini in a famous Paris
restaurant.
Notice it says garbage ?boy? and not ?RAT?. I still think Rollie
is Rollie and the garbage boy is a garbage boy named Linguini not Rollie.
So there?s my opinion on
Rollie.
Have we always thought Linguinie was a boy character, ever since he was introduced to us?

CountSolo - As of yet, the name āRollieā is just a temporary name for
that āfat brown ratā whom we have seen in the Ratatouille teaser trailer.
So far, his name is just a rumor that has been floating around for some time now. Personally, I hope they change
it. Iāve already seen a Disney character named āRollieā; however, this is
Pixar and not Disney, and names canāt really be claimed, so⦠
The Star
Swordsman - I have also assumed as much. Since we only know about one human character and (at
least) three rats, perhaps some of us are just desperate for more human characters. (snigger)
As of
today, the tally is as such:
Remy -
rat
āRollieā
rat
Remyās father -
rat
Auguste Gusteau -
human
Linguini -
human/animal?
Personally, I believe that Linguini is a human. Weāll soon
find out though, wonāt we?
Probably in the trailer, if Linguini is really such an important
character.
And I think that Linguini is a human, btw.
Hey guys did you see the 1st ever Ratatouille TV spot on
Christmas morning? Nothing new it just showed parts of the teaser trailer, I only saw the last part of the TV
spot where Remy?s voice could be heard saying ?Merry Christmas, Eat well and I?ll see you this summer?. That?s
all I heard in the TV spot.
just wanted to drop by and tell you guys. Iāll see you guys
later!
Oh wow, I missed that. What channel did you see that? And what time did the TV spot show?
TSS: I saw it on ABC at a commercial brake for the Walt Disney parade.

JV - Ahhh! No way! Maybe theyāll show it again tomorrow during the Rose Parade?
I canāt believe I missed that! Thanks for making me jealous ā and thanks for letting us know, as well,
JV.
