Yeah, this is what I’ve been waiting for Pixar to
do: a full-on, unadulterated comedy. The others have been heart-warming tales with comedic characters, but at the
same time, I think it’s about time that we get sheer comedy. It can still be a family film - think Shrek, just
without all the relentless parodying of pop culture.
That said, it was hard for me to put these in any
sort of order. I enjoy most of these movies the same, but with The Incredibles on a higher level, and A Bug’s
Life on a slightly lower level…
- Incredibles
- Toy Story 2
- Monsters, Inc
- Cars
-
Toy Story
6. Finding Nemo
7. A Bug’s Life
I don’t know where Ratatouille will come in… I don’t
see it topping The Incredibles, but I don’t see it completely stinking ? la Limburger either.

How come you never saw A Bugs Life?
Well to
put it simply, it was about bugs. I really couldnt stand watching a movie about bugs cuz i really dont like em.
So i never saw it…
They don’t really seem like bugs after the first
fifteen minutes…Like with Cars- the cars just seemed human after a while.
It’s like that with all the movies - you almost forget they’re toys, bugs, monsters, fish, and cars. It’s
hard to forget that the Incredibles are superheros, though, since they’re running around in spandex saving the
world…
Haha, yeah, they’re super heroes
no matter what!
Pixar does a
great job portaying human nature through inanimate objects, and even Super Heroes too.

Couldn’t have put it better lizardgirl.
The magic of Pixar is
that somehow, even though we generally forget that these are inanimate objects that are running around and moving
in front of our eyes, we are also given the chance to sort of “celebrate” the fact that they’re not
human (or not “normal” human beings, in the case of The Incredibles)
because of the plethora of in-jokes incorporated in the films.
Yeah maybe i’ll see it. But I’ve got a huge phobia-type-thing with insects and
bugs. It did look interesting.

Good
morning, ya’ll! I’m new here, so bear with me…
Well…let’s see. This is kind of a
tough choice…but I guess my list will look something like this:
1. Finding
Nemo (absolutely the best)
2. Ratatouille
3. Monster’s
Inc.
4. Toy Story 2
5. The Incredibles
6. Toy Story
7. A Bug’s Life
I never did like
A Bug’s Life very much, although I have to admit that it is very… – how do I say
it? – …“intriguing”.
