Where's Doc???

Me too…Iv’e never been I love with a film as I have with Cars!!!

That’s cool. I would get a tatt, but for some reason they bother me. Like, not on other people, I think they’re art, and they’re nice to look at. But for some reason I don’t want one. I’m confused.

I’ve been a PIXAR nut since I was very little. Toy Story and TS2 were everything to me. And then when I was 9, I saw The Incredibles, and it took the same hold of my life.

I love all the PIXAR movies, and Cars is pretty high on my list. I have all the characters as die-casts. I’m just not as obsessed with it, for some reason.

hummm? looks down at IV’s sig :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m just worried about how much it will hurt. :frowning: I know that the pain will be worth it though.

I’m glad that this movie will have a heart, but hopefully not like a funeral, like TS3. I want it more like Up, where it has serious scenes, but remains a comedy, and a child-friendly film.

Yeah…also Doc was soo well respected too…I considered him the Mayor sorta… :frowning:

Yeah, I’d say everyone will be pretty torn up about him. :frowning: Moreso than Stanley, I suppose. That was kind of a random little plot loop, in my eyes.

They sort of show Stanley’s story in The Art of Cars book. I think that Doc was a hero, if you were to just sum him up in a word. He deserves so much more than one word.

Yeah. <3

To me, “right to go left” is more than just a driving technique. Lightning’s been through a lot before the movie ended. Of course, at the end of the movie, Lightning is a changed car. He doesn’t look at the world like he did. So it’s true:

“If you’re going hard enough left, you’ll find yourself turning right.”

If you’re going through some tough times in life, but you keep going, you’ll find yourself in the right place.

That’s why you turn the wheels in the opposite direction. You’re fighting the turn. If you keep going, you’ll turn right.

Yeah…that’s a very interesting point, and that’s another thing I love about Cars…there’s so many lessons to take away from it…

I thonk that Cars is one of the Pixar movies with the most lessons. You just have to give it a chance.

Yeah…people are too busy nitpicking and looking at the surface to really see the lessons Cars has in it…I fail to see how a movie with that many lessons that also can be applied to adults can be called a "Kids Movie" or not emotional or immature… :-\

It is a bit hard to take a movie that has car with teeth, a tongue, and big eyes, seriously. Not to mention, door handles. I’ve always wondered why those are there. Surgery? I don’t let that bother me with any Pixar movie though. At least I was able to let myself sink into the universe. After a while, I forgot I was watching cars; they started to seem human.

They have their own personalities, their own voices, their own genders, their own interests, and their own connections. There will be those who question the gender thing, because you can’t really tell a boy car from a girl car, unless the girl is wearing that one strip of eyeliner. Then one would question how they got their makeup on. The point is, they got it on. Even though I’m curious as to how they got it on, it really doesn’t matter. That isn’t going to stop me from not sinking into the universe.

Other than that, I agree. I fail to see how the movie isn’t as rich as the others.

Yeah, after a while I was sooo into the story that I didn’t even care…which is something they mentioned in the commentary…

I wish I had the bluray movie. We may be getting a bluray player for Christmas. I wish there was a way to see it online. :frowning: It doesn’t matter. Hopefully, I’ll see it soon!

What was the line in the commentary?

There was a part where John Lasstier explained that they foregot to add headlights on Sally at one point during to production, and he said that…

Aww!!! That’s so funny, but sweet!

Haha, yep! And the beginning race is probably in Tennessee.

You play too!? What’s your car’s name? Mine is Faded Suntree!
