Which DVD versions to get?

Hi, I’m new to the forum, but been a Pixar fan since Toy Story! I have finally decided to update my old VHS collection with DVD’s. The only movie Im confused about is the Toy Story series. Should I get the Ultimate Toy box set, the 10th Anniversary edition of Movie 1 and the standard for 2, or just wait altogether for Toy Story 3 to be on DVD, if there’s the chance of being a box set?

I’ve still got the VHS, but to help you out, I’d say that the 10th Anniversary set has less features, but is cheaper, while the Toy Box set has more features, and is more expensive. The 10th Anniversary set also has better quality.

I think a box set is inevitable. But I cant just say wait for it, because it could be a while.

But why not get the blu ray? even if you only have DVD at the moment, it comes with a dvd too, so you’ll ready when you are ready to start going blu. and it comes with most of the dvd features anyway. just not sure if its only on the blu ray or both dvd and blu ray. might be both but I think its only on the blu ray.

but yeah, to add to what Dinoco said, the ultimate toy box has the most features. most of it was carried over to the 10th aniversery editions, and again to the blu rays, but not all.

if video quality takes priority, I’d suggest the 10th anniversary editions, or blu rays combo packs. they have the highest bitrates. but the quality difference is negligible.

The Blu-Rays have immaculate picture, and of course the sound is great too. Both the blu ray and DVD in the blu ray combo pack have all the same features, even the same kind of menu.

I don’t think they even make the Ultimate Toy Box anymore, but believe me High Definition is the way to go.
