My all time favorite. “Run Forest run!”
The really cheesy ones seem to get my attention… especially this one from the poorly made Batman & Robin…
“Let’s kick some ice.”
God… that line by Mr Freeze made the only thing that’s freezing be my aching brain.
“How did the dinosaurs died? The ice age!”
…
In the car…
“Fasten your seatbelt, I wanna try something. I saw it in a cartoon, but I’m pretty sure I can do it!”
On the job…
“What, no friggin laser beams?”
At home…
“Yes, dear!”
This is more along the lines of the quotes my family uses. We’re always interjecting some random movie/song quote into our normal conversations. I’ll try and think of a few we use regularly.
“Don’t look at me like that!”
- Linguini, Ratatouille
“It is indeed, Larry… very cool.”
- Cecil, Night At the Museum
“Now that was Julie!”
- Fred Randall, Rocketman
“That’ll work.”
- Kronk, The Emperor’s New Groove
“That’s my code… my motto. But thanks for the warning.”
- Horton, Horton Hears a Who!
“When life gives you lemons…”
“…Make … apple juice…?”
- Layla and Will, Sky High
“Wow… I am really drawing a blank here!”
- Horton, Horton Hears a Who!
“All right, are you through?!”
- Yzma, The Emperor’s New Groove (we quote a lot from that movie…)
That’s just to name a few. Usually we’re blurting some random, obscure line from some extremely random movie that we haven’t watched for two years, so it’s different every time. Recently, we’ll walk into a room and one will randomly blurt “EVVA!!!” and the other will reply, “WALL•E!!!”
But we could go on and on.
little chef
Hm. . . I probably say a lot of things from Cars without even realizing it. I do know I say Ka-Chow! a lot at home.
red - It’s nice to know that my sister and I aren’t the only ones who quote films on a regular basis. (heheh)
Ha! My sister and I do the same thing. Oftentimes, we end up quoting an entire sequence from a film that we’ve quoted when we do this.
– Mitch
“When life gives you lemons, make grape juice.”
“[my last name] out!!”
-Ryan Seacrest, except w/ my own name.
“I’ll be bahk.”
-The Terminator
“When the big hand point UP, and the little hand points UP, the door will be in my station. But when the little hand points DOWN, the door will be gone.”
-Randall, but I only said this once at lunch for no reason.
“Stupid Humans!!!”
-I made this up, but it will be famous one day.
“WAZZAP!!!”
-That scream guy from one of the Scary Movie movies.
“Personal space.”
-Honestly, who DOESN’T say this?
“If you can dodge a wrench…”
LOL. That movie rocks. For some reason to me it’s the only one where people getting hit in the groin is legitimately funny and never seems to get old.
As for famous sayings…
My gf and I modified WALL-E and EVE into our own nicknames:
“ALLYYY!!” - “ELLAAA!!”
Oh, and…
“Denny Crane.”
Something that my friends and I are going to be quoting for a very long time: when we were recently in France, having been served dinner, a friend asked the waitress whether the pasta had onion in it, as she’s allergic to them. The waitress didn’t know much English and so didn’t understand what she was saying, but my friend just kept saying ‘onion? Onion?’ Then someone else said, ‘on-yon’ in a typically French accent, and the waitress was like, ‘ohhh! Oui!’ as though saying a word ever so slightly differently makes a massive difference.
So we now just go around saying ‘onion? On-YON!’ to each other.
my favourite quote is “Do it now, or forever wish you had.”
it’s from hairspray, it’s kinda like Carpe Diem, but different
“When in doubt, PANIC!!!”
“When life gives you lemons, throw 'em at someone!!”
Oh, and usually, like, when I’m in the middle of a conversation with someone, like if I remember to- SQUIRREL!!!.. I usually shout out SQUIRREL randomly and look to my side for 5 long seconds. It’s fun.
Bruce Campbell’s famous line from the Evil Dead series: Time to get some.
“To Infinity and Beyond!” xD
epic
“Anyone can cook!” - guess you can guess the person who quoted it right?
Since flipping over Star Trek, I’m playing Spock’s “logical”/“illogical” cards all the time Sometimes I’ve even been using “I’m in control of my emotions”
SQUIRREL!
I mention Dug’s ‘joke’ often. Just random quotes from up really, any of em.
