Which scenes made you cry?

I can’t help it…some scenes

just bring tears to my eyes.

Jessie recalls her life with Emily (Toy Story 2)
Boo accidentally sees

Sulley do a scare (Monsters Inc.)
Marlin swims to Nemo after they rescue Dory from the net, and he remembers

Nemo as a little egg (Finding Nemo) That Egg Theme gets me everytime

“Our Town” montage (Cars)

To tell you the truth, I never cry. But I do know some

scenes that really got to me. I think it was the mother/daugther conversation outside the cave in The

Incredibles.

When Nemo’s mother dies at the beginning of Finding

Nemo…The Emily scene with Jesse, definitely…And the scene that just gets me so much, I try not to watch it-

when Randall gets banished in MI.

There’s probably a lot of other scenes; I cry at everything.

I haven’t had any Pixar scenes actually bring

me to tears, but you have to realize that I am the person, who during Jack’s death scene in

Titanic, was going, "Just DIE

already!"

As far as being the most emotional, that scene in Monsters,

Inc. where Boo runs and opens the closet door, calling out, “Kitty?”, only to see the

ordinary contents of her closet, was pretty strong, as was the scene in which Randall gets thrown into the

trailer. I honestly still cannot watch that scene, and turn the DVD off at that point. The scene in

Cars where Mater says, “I didn’t even git to tell 'im ‘good-bye’!” was

another really powerful one.

pitbulllady

I only almost cried during Finding Nemo … couple times … I think … can’t remember …

hehe - I’ll second that scene PBL!

Yeah, there are some moving

moments in Pixar films but none that have me in tears yet. These are my tops…

In TS2 with Jessie and

Emily is probly the most powerful one.

Both scenes in Monsters Inc where Boo sees Sulley do the scare and

finds the closet empty are quite moving.

Also the scenes mentioned in Nemo where mom dies at the beginning

but also the one where Marlin sees Dory limp among the Jelly Fish.

The Incredibles IMO even has a moving

moment when Bob finally fesses up and yells “I can’t lose you again!”

And of course Cars’

scene with Mater’s “I didn’t even get to say good bye” and “Our Town” were also very

touching.

I’m also not the type to cry very easily… but I’ll admit that about two

movies brought me to absolute tears… one being a Korean movie called “The Way Home” and the other

being the one with Haley Joel Osment, “Pay It Forward”. The later of the two has a rather cheesy

ending… but it was sad none the less. But I’m normally the type of person who watched "Walk to

Remember" and could not help but LAUGH when the girl told the guy she was dying because Mandy Moore’s

acting was… amusing. But I think I’m getting more sensitive as I get older…

That being said I think

I was too young to cry in the earlier Pixar movies… and when you watch it a second time it just isn’t as

powerful. I think I got a bit blurry eyed at the beginning of Finding Nemo with Nemo’s mom… but I think

that’s it…

I’ve cried during movies and tv shows before - most

recently back in 2003 when Jack Bauer had to say goodbye to daughter Kim, thinking he was going down with the

plane.

But I haven’t really cried since then. But PIXAR films DO get me emotional.

I think

Emily’s scene was THE most emotional PIXAR scene ever, IMHO. I was close to tears on that one, though I never

did.

When Dory didn’t want Marlin to go . . . because she didn’t want to forget. That got to me

too!

And of course whenever I saw Boo’s face get scared/sad. Whoa, where’s that tissue . . .

Oh, and when, in the original Toy Story, Buzz and Woody are stuck in Sid’s room, and Woody’s

in that plastic box thing, and he tells Buzz to leave him because he’s not as cool as the other toys…Very sad

to see Woody like that.

Nothing from a Pixar movie ever brought me to tears, but I

have been touched by several scenes.

The only scene from an animated movie

that made me cry was in An Extremely Goofy Movie. When Goofy goes back into the house after Max leaves for

college, he’s all depressed and so…so…not goofy. He starts crying after he finds his son’s teddy bear

left in his room. I lost it, man. :`-(

~~=oP

I think if Pixar does an extremely dramatic moive with

great animation acting, I’m sure people will break out into tears.

Same with me. And now at the age that I am, a teenager, I show emotions

about as often as a tow truck lip-synchs to John Mayer. Oh, wait…

But, yeah, getting choked up is my

equivalent of crying. And I most certainly get choked up when Lightning pushes the King across the finish line.

No matter how many times I see the movie, I’ve gotten choked up every single time at that scene, and probably

will forever; I get a lump in my throat just listening to that part of the soundtrack.

I can’t think of

any other scene that’s produced the same effect in me, although there certainly have been plenty of touching

moments.

I think I’ve teared up during TS2, Finding Nemo, and Monsters Inc…I was surprised I didn’t cry in Cars,

because I’m usually pretty easy to start up. I mean, good lord, I choke up when I watch Ice Age even though I

KNOW Diego isn’t dead. :stuck_out_tongue: :unamused:

The only Pixar film I’ve ever gotten choked up at is The

Incredibles. Just Bob’s ‘I can’t lose you again’ line, the way he’s choked up, looking down,

shoulders drooping, and Helen’s shocked expression, it just plays out so beautifully. sniff
I do sometimes

cry at Disney movies – I always have tears in my eyes at the end of Aladdin when he

says goodbye to the Genie, and in Treasure Planet when Silver and Jim say their

goodbyes. Beauty and the Beast usually gets a few sniffles out of me, and I always

feel utterly depressed after watching Pocahontas. But in a

good way, if that’s possible…

I don’t think I’ve ever had tears stroll down my cheeks

when watching any Pixar films, but I’ve definitely had my eyes water in some particular scenes:

-Sulley

says goodbye to Boo near the end of Monsters, Inc.
-Marlin’s wife (Choral) dies in Finding Nemo
-Dory

tells Marlin not to go away and says ‘I’m home’ in Finding Nemo (oh wow… I really felt the emotion in that

scene)
-Marlin finds Nemo on the ground after they save the fish
-The ‘Our Town’ scene in Cars

I

was eight years old when I watched Toy Story in theatres, so I can’t remember getting teary-eyed at all, but I

remember how powerful that scene was when Buzz Lightyear tries to fly out the window. When you’re a kid, you

really believe he’s going to make it. He’s Buzz Lightyear! Hehehe, it really made me

think.

Yeh, I think I feel the same

lump when watching that scene as well. I don’t necessarily choke up, but it’s a very sweet scene. I thought it

was a great ending to the race.

I knew Buzz wouldn’t make it . . . even when I was a little kid. But when he fell and

broke his arm off . . . that got to me. I didn’t cry, I was just shocked.

I meant that you want him to make it, even though you were

just given a scene that proves he’s a toy.

The times when I’ve gotten

real close to crying are from Nemo: When Marlin wakes up & realizes his whole family’s gone, when they play

that title theme. From Cars: When the King crashes during the race & Lightning decides to push him to the

finish line. Even a little at the end of Monster’s Inc when Sully has to leave Boo…

The following scenes got me really choked up, an

astonishing achievement, for I rarely express what I’m feeling:

TS2 - Jessie telling her story.
MI -

The empty closet.
MI - “Boo?” “Kitty!” (This was a happy choke)
FN - Dory begging

Marlin not to leave her. “I don’t want to forget that!” "Sorry, Dory, but I do. I do want to

forget."
FN - Marlin swimming down to Nemo after the trawler, and it flashing back to the night of

Coral’s death.
TI - “I can’t lose you again!”
Cars - “Our Town”
Cars - Lightning

being hounded away by the press, Mater not getting to say goodbye and Doc left completely alone, with the

blinking light, one of the main symbols of Radiator Spring’s decline.
Cars - Lightning sacrificing the race

to allow the King to finish with dignity.

Bonus - While not Pixar, I get really choked up near the end of

“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”, when Amos Diggory is holding Cedric’s lifeless body and cries

in a cascade of grief. That was the single best scene in that movie, which sometimes felt rushed and

mis-focused.

 Lol, DElf!

When I was really little, I used to cry at almost every single movie I

saw. I cried at pretty much every classic Disney movie. But lately, I haven’t been that much of a crier.

Pixar has gotten me a few times, though.

I may have gotten a little teary during Jessie’s song, but I

don’t really remember.
I think the Pixar film I cried the most at was Monsters, Inc. That scene where

Sulley’s saying goodbye to Boo had me bawling… right in the middle of a band function, too.

During Finding Nemo, I got teary when Dory is begging Marlin not to leave her. And then again when Nemo says

“I don’t hate you…”
Finally, I always get choked up when Mater says "I didn’t get to say

goodbye to him." I always get choked up at the end of Cars, too, when McQueen goes back to help the

King.

Ooh, RMS Oceanic, that scene from GoF makes me bawl every single time! It’s sooo sad! And Patrick

Doyle’s music is so mournful…
