Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

I know Disney was in this but so were other companys Si I put it here.

Who likes this film. It was released about a year before The Little Mermaid and helped Disney with it;s films. The animation blends in great. The story is also preety good. This is the only time that Bug’s Bunny and Mickey Mouse have appered on screen together. Most people remember Jessica Rabbit as well. People also they they were scared of DR. Doom when he turned into his toon self when they were kids. What do you think of this movie?

WFRR is definitely a classic and a wonderful tribute to animation of the mid-twentieth century. Considering when the movie was released, I think the hand-drawn animation seamlessly blends into the live-action environments. I also like the balance of silly, slapstick humor with adult jokes.

I need to get it on DVD.

WFRR? is an interesting novelty. One unfortunate aspect is that the opening “real cartoon” is the highlight of the movie. Once the interaction between toons and humans sets in, there’s a sense of unfulfilled yearning for a nice Tex Avery classic. The Dip was a nifty idea, but overall Robert Zemeckis based the movie on an intriguing technical concept, then failed to invigorate the project with much human interest or warmth–something of a pattern for him.

I liked this movie. I more recent viewing suprised me by how sexually suggestive and violent it was. That of course does not bother me, but I never noticed when I was younger.

I read in a trivia book that Chuck Jones helped design Jessica Rabbit, but he never mentioned it in his autobiographies or can I find that factoid confirmed any where else. Jones did get credit as an animation consultent, but he himself did not like the movie at all. Jessica defintely was more of an Avery-esque character than a Jones one. Anyone eles have any information on this?

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I hope they make a sequel someday, because I would love to see Roger in all his 2D glory again.

I would like to see a sequel where Roger and all the other 2D chracters are out of the job because their 3D counterparts have took them. So they 2D charcters to to war with them and try to get their spots back.

I love this movie a lot. But, I do not ant a sequel. Doubt they would make one anyway.
