Aww, thanks guys. I’m glad you think it’s all right… I just get so self-conscious about my scribbly art, especially after looking at what some of my favorite artists “scribble”. I mean, it’s like pieces of full artwork and they call it junk!! I just don’t understand it…!
I have been working at that self-esteem thing a bit, especially when it comes to art. You guys really give me the boosts that I need, and I appreciate that.
Hmm, maybe I will give those bots a crack sometime…
Mmm, but back-on-topic, I agree with you TDIT about Violet’s avvie. She finds the greatest expressions of Violet, I swear!
Mykonos_Fan: Awww, thank you! I drew it myself. Yours is so super adorable, and whenever I see it I mean to mention it here but for some reason I always forget who’s wearing it!
I think the general consensus here is that Mykonos_fan’s avatar is adorable (Me included)! Who can resist a mutt’s mug like that? Where’d you find that image? If it was a screenshot, what video was it from?
I think I can clear that up. It’s during Dug’s introduction in Up, and the exact moment is when [spoil]he plops his butt down and says “I am a great tracker, did I mention that?” It’s when he’s blinking.[/spoil]
Excellent frame capture, it makes an adorable avatar!
Yes, I agree with you about The Sword in the Stone. Not as awesome with story as other Disney Classics but rather still has its spark. Like done later with Lilo and Stitch, the squirrel scene made a clever hilarious part that later toned down to sorrow without feeling out-of-place, if you know what I mean. The emotions blended without making awkward jumps.
Yes, it was an actual quote- when Merlin introduced Archimedes.
And thanks! I’m glad I’ve brought back memories!
Oh, and I chose The Sword in the Stone because of school-starting season and, you know, it involves education.
annarborjack: Sorry for the late notice but I like your avatar! Even machines can feel like we do in the morning.
Totally! I remember hating the lady squirrel’s persistence (being a kid and all), and feeling sorry for her in the end. How they managed that emotional shift was nothing short of amazing!
Haha, and that’s your new avatar, BDD! The squirrel scene from SitS (stating the obvious)!
How’d you do the freeze-frame and eye blinks every few seconds? It’s very smooth, and I’m amazed how you managed to loop the animation. You’ve gotta show me how you did that (either here or by PM)! I’m very curious to know…
But yeah, it’s awesome. Or as Merlin would say, “discombobulating.”
Thanks TDIT, wannabechef91, & TSS! TDIT: I would tell you if I could, but I can’t since I only found the avatar online. It’d be awesome if I could make my own graphics, though. I’d do all sorts of Pixar/Classic Disney crossovers…haha, I like that Merlin quote. Not your everyday compliment.
