I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen the piece of concept art bits&pieces’s is from, but it looks gorgeous.

aw, thank you, leirin! it’s actually from a while ago, when tangled was set to have a darker, rembrandtesque look to it.

That is jawdropping, bits&pieces! Do you have a link to the original image in high-resolution? Kinda wished they did Tangled that way, but I’m still pleased with the final product I guess.

gorgeous, isn’t it? then again, pretty much all of the earlier concept art and earlier animation tests with that ~oil-painting look~ to them are. don’t get me wrong, i absolutely adore tangled, but the more i see of glen keane’s brilliant earlier version, the more i want to see it come to life.

Thanks JSWeC! In my opinion, Rio is totally worth seeing on the big screen with as big a group as possible (3D is quite good, but 2D has richer colours), but if you’re waiting for home rental, that’s great too. It’s definitely worth your time, whether it’s in cinemas or on your TV.

And I’m so pumped for KFP2 too! Thing is, it will be released on the same day as Cars 2 here, and I’m not sure which to see first… decisions, decisions…
