Leirin: It was a pleasant surprise to see the ‘felt sequence’ in a Flash-animated show. One thing I admire about MLP is they’re not afraid to push boundaries and introduce elements that adults can appreciate as much as kids. That’s not to say I want it to be totally adult-oriented, as that would make it unsuitable for kids (like Family Guy coughIt suckscough and South Park), but all-ages universal like Pixar and (recently, to an extent) Dreamworks.

So my current avvie is of one of the most dramatic moments of the Friendship is Magic series. It’s from one of the latest episodes, Putting Your Hoof Down, where Fluttershy gets a boot camp in confidence training by a Minotaur called Will.I.Am, I mean, Iron Will. But her newfound assertiveness turns into aggressiveness, and threatens to alienate her friends. In one incredibly heartbreaking scene, she mocks the life purposes and dreams of Rarity and Pinkie Pie, in a complete reversal of her kind character. The ‘NO’ caption was my one-worded reaction when I saw that scene for the first time.
You can watch it here. Great animation and use of music to evoke a powerful effect on the viewer.

I don’t think there is! It’s cool other people enjoy it so much, but it’s not not something I’ve gotten into. And I was just saying it was nice to see I’m not the only one. But I think it’s great that MLP has a fandom! I’m just not a part of it.

And it’s fine that people are indifferent to/uninterested in MLP. Differing taste is not something that can be helped. I understand the point though. I have a tendency to get overzealous about defending things I like when I’m in the mood to, but I don’t have a problem with someone not caring for it.
You’re not alone, we don’t care about it either.
It seems we’re the minority, though. I’m beginning to call this site the Pony Planet Forums.
I’m glad we all have different opinions, and such.
I just dont’ like it when someone bashes on something I really like, without giving a reason, or not being polite about it.

If you say why you like it, even if I don’t agree with you, I’ll respect that. It shows you have reasons behind whatever you’re saying. And if you haven’t seen it, don’t make opinons about it. It’s one thing to say “The trailers didn’t appeal to me” but to judge the whole movie solely based of that, well, whatever to you! And if you don’t like it, just say you don’t! Seriously, don’t call me names because I do.
I think I need another, more interesting avatar. But I can’t find one I love yet.
