Who has the best avatar?

Hey Geoff, nice to see you too!

Thanks, Amy43! What’s yours about? It looks like an old spy show, my first guess would be Get Smart. EDIT: Is it Basil Rathbone from Sherlock Holmes?

SoA: No pasa nada, I was referring to you talking about Brave many posts back as if you knew its plot or have watched it. Now that I think about it, that would be unlikely as it’s not even out in the US yet and I doubt Pixar would’ve leaked it to the public or anything! :stuck_out_tongue:

Hello ObsessedWithPixar! So you’re new here, I see? Welcome aboard, I see you’re a fellow Cars fan! Cars was my first favourite Pixar movie, as I’ve always said around here.

Thanks for the compliments, I’ve only watched a few P&F episodes, but Agent P’s already my fave character! And of course, I’m super-duper pumped to watch (hopefully) the final instalment to the Madagascar saga.

I was wondering if yours was a picture of Sally in Lightning’s livery from his Dinoco dream sequences, but now I know that it’s your carsona! Awesome. Darnit, I wish I gave that MMORPG a shot before it shut down, I wonder why Pixar/Disney did that? :frowning: Did you know it was going to close before it happened? Also, I’d love to learn more about the meaning behind your carsona’s name? And what product is Spare Mint, laugh out loud? 8D

Again you refuse to say specifically what comments I made that made you think I’ve watched it 8D

Reading a few posts back, I think you may refer to my comment of “Merida’s finest hour”. I didn’t meant it as a moment in the film, but as her finest hour in the marketing campaign. I really love how she looks in the Japanese poster, which I can’t say about all the occidental ones.

Yes, that was the one, Spirit. Sorry I didn’t make that clear. I kinda forgot what poster that was already, although, if you still have a link to it, I’d like to revisit it to put it in context.

But yeah, I understand now, you meant her finest hour in the marketing campaign, not the actual movie. I was just hoping you had actually seen some leaked footage or something, but that’s wishful thinking. :stuck_out_tongue:

I like your Nokia spoof, BTW. My first three handphones were Nokias (it was a very reliable brand before smartphones came along), before I took the leap to iPhone. I remember the good old days when I used to play Snake for hours on my first phone, a 5210…

The Japanese poster is this:

It has since been adapted into an international one.

My current phone is also a Nokia.

No, it’s actually Leonard from the movie North by Northwest played by Martin Landau. He’s one of my movie character crushes. He’s an assistant/henchman to the main villain. It’s a movie from 1959, and it’s about a man named Roger Thornhill who is mistaken for a spy.

Sherlock Holmes played by Basil Rathbone is actually another one of my character crushes. 8D

Heya back TDIT! Thanks for welcoming me here again… I feel like I’ve been here forever now
Anyway, Disney had made WOCO as a part of their virtual worlds like Pixie Hollow and POTC Online, Club Penguin, and Toontown. As far as I understand, WOCO was closed because it wasn’t making nearly as much money as the others (because all Disney MMORPG’s are free, but if you want the cool features, you have to pay ca$h) for some reason. I think it was because it was their most fun virtual world; there were more fun features you didn’t have to pay for than the other MMORPGs. I won’t go too into it in case there’s a thread on WOCO already. But anyway, on WOCO you picked your carsona’s name by coming up with a clever arrangement of words/names. I chose Gypsy after the character in A Bug’s Life and Hybridsmile because I’m happy to be ecofriendly! Her main color is green, but Spare Mint’s team color is light blue.
I have no idea what Spare Mint is other than that it “Gives old tires that minty-fresh tread!”
But I chose it because I liked the team colors and the fact it had something to do with mints

Violet Parr’s Raven from Teen Titans theme is awesome, I still adore that show and character

Just changed my avatar again. I gotta admit that Leirin’s is pretty cool.

Eeee, I love yours! And thanks!

I guess it’s “Beijing News” or something like that, since the first word looks a lot like “Beijing”

I like how your signature and avatar supplement each other! Melman is just the one to make fun of.

Leirin’s avatar is adorable.

Yeah, Natalie/Amidala for the win!

Love that one.

SoA: Wow, that is just… :open_mouth: I want that poster on my wall!

Amy43: Ah, the crop-duster movie. I’ve been meaning to watch that for awhile. I love spy/reluctant-hero movies.

ObsessedWithPixar: That’s interesting, how you came up with your carsona’s name. I really regret not giving that MMORPG a shot, I bet I would’ve spent a lot of my online time there, laugh out loud. :stuck_out_tongue:

JSWeC: Oh, that’s a pretty-looking girl! What movie/TV show is that from?

Grifoshka: Haha, that’s a good guess! Thanks, Melman doesn’t get much to do in the new movie, but the scenes of him with Gloria are adorable!

I love Draik’s Princess Cadence avatar! She’s the best foal-sitter ever!

IV’s avatar of a determined Merida is made of wickedness. I love bad*ss poses, and this one’s super-awesome!

Equestrienne’s Merida avatar is pretty cool too! Is that from a poster?

The avatar I’m wearing now is the logo of Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go!, an old animated series I’m watching recommended by Netbug after she said it was similar to MLP: FIM. I can see the similarities: An elite force of six individuals tasked with defending the world from evil, while juggling their personal developments and relationships with each other. Yet, it’s set in the future, with more violence and gross-out moments, the animation’s exaggerated anime-style with lots of ‘holds’ and disjointed movements, and a primary antagonist who comes up with the challenge-of-the-week. So in a way, they’re both very alike… and different! But both are excellent examples of quality all-ages entertainment that teach valuable life lessons.

If you can find an old home video copy or, might I say, less-than-legal sources, do give it a watch and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.

I like the avatar a lot! I need to see that show sometime.

TDIT: That’s Padmé in her parade gown at the end of The Phantom Menace.

Yeah, that’s the one. I love that movie!

Star Wars movies are great! I need to give them a rewatch.

Let’s see… awesome avatar roundup for today!
Leirin’s Merida avatar is so awesome! I love Pixar art! Did you get that from the art book or a storybook?
JSWeC, you know I love your Padme avatar!
A recent avatar of my liking I’ve found is from RobbieValiant, who I guess hasn’t been on much, but he’s using an animated VeggieTales avatar! I love!

Thanks! It’s fan art I found on someone’s blog. I liked it a lot and wanted to use it. Yours is great, too! We need more people with Cars-themed graphics.

Thanks TDIT! love your avatar too. And also Leirin’s <3

I like Grifoshka’s Mushu!
