I used the gun barrel as a nod to Bond’s 50 anniversary and because it was prominently used in Skyfall’s promotional material.

Heeeyyy… sexy pony! Unless you’ve lived under a rock last year, you’d probably get the reference in my avatar, cropped from a cover variant for issue 2 of the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic comic (which is not surprisingly selling like gangbusters thanks to the massive adult fanbase).
The cover artist also did a Dr Who variant for issue 1.
And it so happens she draws wonderful crossover fanart of Disney princesses too!

Awesomesauce avatar, TDIT! I had no idea that they’re making MLP graphic novels, but I guess I should’ve figured Might have to check those out! The Dr. Whooves cover is quite intriguing…
OWP: I ordered the Mane Six pack and it arrived a few weeks ago. I read it last week, it was awesome! Not sure if you’ve seen the Season 2 Finale, but let’s just say the villain makes a dastardly return.
Oh, and the contents have nothing to do with the covers (although I think Hooves make a cameo), which is the case for most comic books anyway. I mean, how many times have I seen dead superheroes or a ridiculous over-the-top scene on the covers which have absolutely zilch to do with the story! 
They’re even doing a micro-series for each of the Mane Six. Arghhh my money, why do you disappear so fast?
