Oh yeah, I love your Jose Carioca sig too… been meaning to watch Three Callaberos, I remember watching it with my bro (who loves Donald Duck, I was more of a ‘Goofy’ fan) and we didn’t catch the whole political subtext. Now that I’m older, I’m eager to rediscover it from a more ‘cynical’ adult perspective… and also to see the lovely Carmen Miranda who I heard apparently has a cameo. And it would be a perfect capper to last month’s Mexico Month and this month’s Brazil Month.
SoA: I’ve really wanna see Sin City, if only because it stars one of my favourite action movie stars of all-time and a very pretty Jessica Alba in a gritty detective film-noir thriller…

You must give it a rewatch! Defintely in my top 10 favorite Disney movies. Saludos Amigos was alright as well, the only great part was Donald Duck and Jose Caricoa in “Aquarela do Brasil”. I did a report in High School about Sexism, Racism, and Politics in Animated Films of World War II. Something along those lines. SA & TTC were a HUGE chuck of my report!
But yes, I watched both last night, and did A LOT of Ze Carioca sketches. A lot! I wanted my sig to be of the Caballeros, but I can’t give up on the Princesses quite yet! So this small one of Ze is perfect.
PS. No Carmen Mirada in the Three Cabelleros! However, her younger sister Aurora does well in the Bahia segment,
