When I was creating my fanwork promo sigs, I used ‘Gill Sans Ultra Bold’. It’s pretty close - only the ‘R’ is custom, so I simply ‘Magic Wand’ it from the logo and used it!
I’d love to see your take on it, Spirit! It seems that I’m not the only one, judging from the enthusiastic response to your proposal. And this would be as good a time as any since the DVD and Bluray was just released! Maybe the logo would simply be ‘SOA’.
As for the font not being released, is there a place where you get your movie/company fonts? Cos’ I’d love to download some and play around with 'em too!

Not really, some of them use already existing commercial fonts like Avatar using Papyrus with very few tweaks. You just have to match those coincidences. Others, like Rio, I’m presuming, use custom letters, so you have to modify them in Photoshop, like you said.
I don’t have a steady place, but you can search and sometimes some fonts will pop (like the Rango one)

I like Sealy’s Fantastic Mr Fox animated sig. Did you animate it yourself or was it a GIF from somewhere? One of the most surreal and beautiful moments from the film (also revealing the film’s inconsistent internal logic).
