Really? Darn. I didn’t get to make a sig I wanted to before the awards in case it got nominated. But since it’s 2012 the sig will have to be nominated next year. Anyway I really like E-J-E’s first siggy. The one on the left.

Allow me to go off-topic for a moment to say this: I know you guys are excited about the awards, but the majority of the administration have lots of things going on in their lives on a daily basis, such as school and work, and can’t always have things done immediately. The PixarPlanet Awards will commence as soon as we have had time to set everything up. TSS gave you a tentative date but that doesn’t mean that it was final. I can tell you that there hasn’t been much serious talk about when it’s going to start up on the moderator’s end, so I’m not sure when it will take place for certain.
I’m just a bit fed up with some of the members saying, “When are the awards? It’s taking so long!! It’s already after the new year!!!” Well, for the record, normally we don’t even hold the awards until after the new year, anyway. I don’t mean to come off as rude, I’m just asking everyone to please be patient with the staff. We’ve got a lot on our plates, but we love this site as much as you do and are excited to get started with the awards as well.

Yeah, I was a bit confused by that, because as far as I know, most of the moderators didn’t know that it was suppose to be today. So it’s a bit concerning to hear a non-moderator/non Award Host post about when it is, before the official thread has actually been posted. In the future, leave that to the Award hosts.
Thank you for that post little_chef. I’m happy everyone’s excited for the award, that’s great. But we all have to remember to be patient, and that the moderators have lives and families outside Pixar Planet.

No it’s not that. It’s just that we’d appriciate it in the future if you left the announcing of PP events to the moderators and hosts, because there can be mixups.
And I’m not doubing that TSS said that, but as little_chef said it came as a suprise, because there hasn’t been much serious talk about when it’s going to start up on the moderator’s end.
