Me? I lost interest after so many new ones came out… not so much “new ones” , but because of the fact that they kept creating new characters out of the old guys… you know, pre-evolved and evolved forms and all that.
I was. I still play Leafgreen to help myself go to sleep at night.
I’m only familiar with the Gold/Silver/Crystal ones … I think it was the Johto region … and those of the 150 first.
Never got into the new ones because they just look so weird and it just seems like they’re selling themselves out.
I was obsessed with Pokemon. I had like 2000+ pokemon card’s. Now I hate that show

Loved the show and collected the cards… felt bad for my parents because that’s all I would talk about, hehe. But I grew out of it, and I think Digimon is way better!
Like many others, I was a fanatic until I grew up. It just became so boring to me. It’s not like I hate the Pokemon franchise; I just don’t pay attention to it.
I used to love when I was 11 or 12. Then I lost my interests, but I still like Pokémon. But not so very much. I’m open for the new games like Diamond and Pearl but instead of creating new Pokémons they could use the older ones for the new games.
I was obbsessed with pokemon for a while, that was until they started making too much. My favorite will always be the ever-powerful Raichu.

I agree wholeheartedly.
I was obsessed with Pokemon. I used to be as crazy with Pokemon as I was (and still am) with Star Wars. In fact, I almost cried when I got this close to missing an episode (my dad must have gone nuts when I kept on telling him to hurry up with his driving). Heck, I even memorized the first 251 Pokemon in order, just so I could show off!
I’ve now completely grown out of this obsession, and I’ve even forgotten most of the Pokemon that I memorized. I don’t even own any Pokemon-related stuff anymore - I generously gave them all (or at least most of them) to my little cousins (who are, thankfully, not as crazy as I was with the franchise.)

That’s basically the main reason I lost interest, too.
I remember they were very popular when I was in second grade, up until everyone started collecting YuGiOh (I don’t know if I spelled that right nor not) cards. My mom didn’t let us collect those, so my brother tried to get the rest of our neighborhood back into Pokemon. Haha. It worked, and that’s when I started collecting.
But like I said, as soon as they started making SO many of the newer ones, it got old, boring, and more complicated, so I stopped.
If i am not mistaken, they are going to stop making new pokemon because in Japan, they are running out of ideas.

The games are still fun, though, and I think it’s the world it’s set in partly that draws kids in. What child wouldn’t want to live in a world where they can set off for fantastic adventures at the ripe old age of 10 completely unsupervised, and be safe because all the bad guys want is your pokeymans, with apparently no schooling, and accompanied by adorable critters and fearsome beasts that obey their every command?
I love Pokemon still. =] I love playing the games on my Gameboy and DS.
I’m upset with the show though. I can’t believe they changed the voice actors! Nobody can play Ash like Veronica Taylor did. It’s really sad.
Yeah, when I heard the new Ash, I thought, oh my gosh, that sounds so bad. I missed the first voice actress.
Until I can afford to get another DS (C’mon tax return) I’m stuck playing my current Pearl/Diamond games. Although I did almost manage to get the first 150 pokemon legitimately after 10 years of owning the red/fire/gold side of the games. (If only I had Leaf Green, I could get that Magmar. )
I haven’t actually seen the anime in a few years, but I still record it for the new Pokemon. I think Buneary and her crush on Pikachu is funny. And that Darkrai movie looks like it’s gonna be cool.
Speaking of Pokemon, I am super excited to use Pikachu, Lucario, Squitile, Ivysaur, and Charizard as playables in Brawl. But I am pysched to see what other pokemon appearences will come from the Pokeballs.
I still play the new pokemon games when they come out. I can’t help myself!
