Who wants a Toy Story 4 and 5?

I totally understand what you are saying but my problem is that pixar would be boring if they just focused on sequels i want them to do a new story with new characters and maybe have a sequel two or 3 times more.

Exactly…that too. This whole sequel theme they are moving into is starting to become rather tiresome…Toy Story 3…Cars 2…Monsters Inc. 2…what next Incredibles 2! :-D)

well i kinda am hoping for the incredibles 2

[spoil]same here[/spoil]

But yes…“Sequel” good…

Sequels…bad.

Taking the TS story to a third movie is pretty far. But I don’t think they should take it to a fourth and fifth movie.

Everything comes in threes…

So…
…Stop at 3… As I’ve always been told…

Too Much of a Good Thing, is a Bad Thing…

Yes I love the Characters, I love the Design, but I want my Childhood heroes to Survive and go out in a Blaze of Glory, not a smoldering piece of burning plastic.

Ok we have Cars 2 on its way… Rumours of MI2, then expectations of a trend to continue with a TI2…

Maybe someone should read the Bob Iger quote in the UK Newspaper The Guardian surronding The Uncomercialised (Yes thats what the Paper has reported it as) Up

I think 5 is enough, but on another forum it said “Give me 50 of em!” :open_mouth:

i mean whats the story going to be like in the 4th one, andy going to work with buzz and woody

I’m sure Pixar can make Toy Story movies to infinity and beyond!
Toy Story 4:
The prospector comes back for revenge.
Toy Story 5:
Thy daycare goes bankrupt and the toys need to find a place to live.

4: I’m sure the Prospector is “rotting in some landfill” over 10 years in the future. Though it’s possible he could have returned, I doubt he would take THAT long for revenge.

5: I’m sure that by the end of Toy Story 3 the toys won’t be in the day care anymore.

I don’t care if a studio is good or better than Pixar. No one can make those many movies. It is crazy enough. I am content with 3.

I think the main problem with sequels nowadays is how often they come, and how everything feels the need to have some sort of franchise.

Back in the past, if a sequel came along there was usually quite a big gap between the first movie and the second. Which, i would think made people more willing to get excited about it.

The problem nowadays is that everything is made with the future in mind, rather than just the film itself. You always hear stories about actors being signed on for three picture deals and you just know that their heart isn’t in the actual story. I’m happy that Pixar aren’t like that, and i’m fine with their being a third movie. I think it’s been a long enough wait for Woody and the gang to return. But this is the last one, I’m convinced.

Another problem nowadays is that people don’t seem to want things to end now, which is why people will always suggest that there are more movies being made. It seems as though nowadays more people want the sequels, and they just want people to keep going and going with these stories. And i think it’s because of the demand for constant sequels that makes them so bad after a while, and then people get sour or disappointed because the amount of sequels tarnish the original. It’s somewhat of a vicious circle that can’t be escaped.

I think we just have to accept that everything has an end, and it doesn’t always have to continue just because it can. Toy story 4&5 won’t happen…I would hope.

Unless Dreamworks acquire the rights :stuck_out_tongue:

uh…What do i say???

I don’t want another Toy Story after the third one… I mean I would love to see a Toy Story 4, but I don’t want Pixar to run a movie that I love into the ground. Like certain other companies… hint hint.

Not saying future toy stories (if there are any more), will be bad just I wouldn’t want them to risk it. The next upcoming Toy Story should be the last.

That’s just what I think though.

noooooooooo

No thank you. I BEG OF YOU!

the idea of sequels dont really peak my interest. i like fresh brand new ideas. its true they could go on forever but they should stop at some point

No, thank you. It gets boring if they make one sequel after another. I prefer new movies over sequels (even though there are four sequels I like more than the original movie).

Woah, this topic hasn’t had any posts in a while. I actually made this thread to [spoil]see if anybody actually did[/spoil]

Here’s how I see it:

1st movie: Good
2nd movie: Better
3rd movie: (usually) Best
4th movie: That’s what fanfiction is for!
5th movie: Too much
6th movie: WAY too much
7th movie: GAME OVER
8th movie: Why in the world…?
9th movie: AAAUGH! :open_mouth:
10th movie: That’s it. I give up. Goodbye. (Lousy [spoil]DreamWorks[/spoil].)

Of course, there are always exceptions:

Pirates of the Caribbean: 3 (4?)
Star Wars: 6 (9?)
Harry Potter: 7 books, 8 movies (Deathly Hallows is two movies)

For Pixar, a single sequel is good. From there, to the fanfictions!

EDIT: That’s, again, just my opinion. If I offend anyone, I’m sorry.

EDIT 2: TS 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12… [size=x-large]NO[/size]
