Why do you love or hate this movie??

That’s one of my favorite shorts too.

Yup, those two and Hawaiian Vacation are great. The rest of the movie spin-offs are just, kinda okay.

But hey, we’re getting a little off-topic now, don’t you think?

Yep, as always. 8D

Back on topic guys.

Anyway, The Incredibles is a great movie. I mean it’s not a masterpiece or anything, but it’s still a great film.

Yeah. Not quite a masterpiece. But I would go so far as to say it’s a classic. Or at least, it will be in the next generation.

It’s not a masterpiece, but it is one of those films that revolutionized animation. It’s a breakthrough.

Could be wrong on this but I think The Incredibles was the first CGI film where the entire cast were humans.

That’s why it’s such a breakthrough movie.

Well, Shrek had a lot of humans, I think it was the first to have so many.

I also love the Superhero Family aspect of it.

Same here. It’s one of those super hero movies that touches the heart. Most super hero movies these days really love to focus on action stunts and special effects.

^ No kidding! I think that’s what I love so much about this movie. Sure, it’s got plenty of action and everything, but at it’s base it really is a very heartfelt story. The way it shows all the ups and downs of a family and how close they are after they’ve been through so much… that all just ties together and makes for a truly beautiful film.

How many good action/adventure (super hero) movies can bring a family together? I know this one can.

True, but like I said, I think The Incredibles was the first CG film that had everyone as humans.

What about the Polar Express? They were releashed at the same time.

True.

But, as The Polar Express is motion-capture, maybe it doesn’t qualify as the same medium.

Exactly. Motion Capture and CG are two different animation styles so Polar Express doesn’t really count.

Another thing I love about it is how Syndrome can be a threat to superpowered people, even though he has no superpowers.

Yes, it’s pretty amazing that he’s so powerful, without having any amazing physical abilities.

I think what really grabs me is just the characters of Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl. If either of those characters weren’t in the movie, I would not like it nearly so well.
