Why is it only a 1 disc dvd anyway?

Sorry if this has been discussed before but has anyone ever

said why Cars is only being released (in the US anyway) on one disc? I would at least like to know their

reasoning behind this. I wont be any less upset, but I would like to know…

Possibly budget? I’m not sure,

myself.

Apparently (according to strong rumours) is that they

were planning to release a 2 disc edition just when Ratatouille is about to hit the cinemas to boost sales.

Selling a single disc now just give the hungry fans a taste of what’s in store (basically like a teaser)

First

of all, Marty, your signature is brilliant!

Second of all, that makes me sad. Does that mean the only

reason we got 2-disc releases of Finding Nemo and the Incredibles was becasue the release of the next movie was

so far away? That’s no fun. :frowning:

Thanks!

Dunno, I still reckon

that they just release it on a 2 discs rather than making fans to buy both versions…

I’m still kinda

axed off that Toy Story 2 wasn’t released in 2 disc edition…sigh

Well, when TS2 was released (1999/2000), DVDs were still kind of in their infancy. I

think DVD’s only really became popular around 2001/02, when the prices of DVD players dropped and consoles like

the PlayStation 2 came out. That’s when the 2-disc Bug’s Life came out. At least we have a two-disc TS2

now!

I still haven’t :frowning: So far I’ve only got 2 Pixar films on

2 disc DVD (‘Finding Nemo’ & ‘The Incredibles’) The rest of my collection only consist 1 disc…I regret

why I ordered ‘Toy Story’ & ‘A Bug’s Life’ online…
