I have Cars on DVD, but unfortunately it’s in full screen. I prefer widescreen because it preserves the artist’s original vision, but Disney has seemingly only released Cars on DVD with “Family Friendly Full Screen”. Ugh.
Every other Pixar DVD I have (TS 1 and 2, Ratatouille, Monsters Inc. and Finding Nemo) has a widescreen version (it might be on a second disc, but it’s there). Why would they neglect to release Cars, a great movie, in widescreen (which would make it even better)?
They did release it in Widescreen, I own it. You must just be having bad luck with the retailers around you, try a DVD specialty store, like Circuit City, Best Buy, FYE, etc.
