As you know, a lot of the critics didn’t like Cars 2. It got mixed reviews with the real people who seemed to like it more. But do they like it enough to see it. Cars 2 is currently at $176,375,295 domesticly as of Jul 25, 2011. It is at $350,075,295 worldwide. Toy Story was $191,796,233 Domesticly and had $361,958,736 worldwide. A Bug’s Life was $162,798,565 domesticly and had $363,398,565. Toy Story 2 and beyond made 200 million or more domesticly and 400 million worldwide. Cars 2 has beat A Bug’s Life but not Toy Story and has not beat any worldwide. Will it be able to beat them?
The real question is how the toy sales are going. Box Office wise, Cars 2 is leaning towards the disaster category, but there are no reports on how much money the film has actually made. All those die casts.
