do u all think so?
Well, I haven’t seen any of his more recent movies, so I can’t say, but the last movie I saw with him in it, I rarely laughed.
what was the last movie of his that u saw?
The movie I saw was Talledega Nights, the Ballad of Ricky Bobby.
that was good, but after “Stranger Than Fiction” which was his GREATEST movie, everything fell downhill…
Man, it’s been forever since I’ve seen a comedy movie/stand up routine.
I’m sorry, but there aren’t that many sex jokes that you can make in the world, and I have a huge hatred towards anyone who makes homosexual jokes. That there rules out 95% of modern comedy.
The redeeming light from the dank pit of stereotyping, racism, and sex is Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. At least when they stereotype and make sex jokes, they are tasteful, smart, and funny.
Bring back the glory days of comedy with Monty Python and early-Simpsons!
On the subject of Will Ferrell, Semi-Pro didn’t even look remotely interesting, and neither does The Stepbrothers (or whatever its called). No thank you sir.
(cough I guess I could be considered a hypocrite, but I am guilty of being a South Park fan cough)
the early stuff for StepBrothers makes it look like John C. Reilly is really tired of doing this crap 4 will…
(also Walk Hard was hysterical!)
It depends on if you are into his sense of humour or not… He seems like a love him or hate him, type of comedian. Some of the funniest moments on Saturday Night Live were from Will Ferrell. I liked him in Anchorman, but loved his acting (yes, most of it was acting) in the Anchorman DVD commentary. It just depends on what taste you have, really.
his best:
Kicking and Screaming
Stranger Than Fiction
Anchorman
Talladega Nights
his worst:
Semi-Pro
Step Brothers (probably)
OK, yes, I absolute adore Night at the Roxbury. I completely forgot about that ![]()
Well, I love him, though he’s not the handsomest of men out there.
And, I’ve never seen Semi-Pro or Step Brother, but hey, everyone has their ups and downs.
And, it depends on the person watching it. I’m sorry to hear you find him unfunny.
i’m not saying he’s not funny, i’m just saying that since the GREAT movie “Stranger Than Fiction,” his movies have got progressively stupider and horrible at every turn. Oh, and “Blades Of Glory,” although Jon Heder is in it, is the biggest waste of time you will ever see. It’s Will at his worst.
I disagree- it’s worth a chuckle or two, and I saw it just for Will Arnett and Amy Poehler! x)
Amy Poehler’s funny in ANYTHING.
I never saw Blades Of Glory. My friend told me that it was a stupid movie.
it is.
if you ever go to spill.com(they have really funny movie reviews), watch the review for “Semi-Pro,” and they say, “the formula for a Will Ferrell movie now, is to dress him up in a different weird uniform every time, and have him go crazy and get naked all the time.”
That’s actually pretty true.
Edited. I combined both of your posts. – Mitch
I never liked the premises of Blades. It had a stupid concept with seemingly stupid characters.
It is amazing how low people will sink to get a cheap laugh. It’s kind of sickening, even!
Pixelated: Can you edit that capitalized G-word, this is a PG rated site.
Oh, um… I’m extremely sorry ![]()
ey, don’t worry about it. At least the lesson was learned and try to be a little careful dude k? ![]()
