Were any other pixar films at
IMAX?
Ratatouille on IMAX? That would be
different.
What makes
IMAX any different than regular theatres?
IMAX is different because the screen is about 3-4 stories tall and the sound quality
is absolutely amazing!
No Pixar film has ever gone to IMAX though there was for a time the talk of The
Incredibles possibly doing so though it never happened.
No word on Ratatouille yet but we can always hope.
=D
I doubt Ratatouille would be any different. I don’t think it will be in IMAX theaters.
That would be beyond awesome! I would love it if
Ratatouille was released in IMAX theaters, but as Dash
said, it has never been done before for any Pixar film that we know of. If
Ratatouille will be released in IMAX, it will be a first.
I do know that
every single Pixar film that has come out (except for both Toy Story films and
A Bug’s Life – I’m not sure if they were included) in HollyWood’s
El Capitan theater, a large, stadium-seating cinema that is accompanied with a
post-show and music. I have no doubt that Ratatouille will – at least – play
there.
Dash - I went to an IMAX theater once to see Fantasia
2000. The screen was bigger than ten of my houses put together. ![]()
Woah, IMAX sounds amazing…Where is it? Or are they
spread all over the place? To see Ratatouille there would be amazing!
I saw Fantasia
2000 in Imax too, it was amazing. Also saw Spiderman 2 and Charlie and the Chocolate factory.
but
back on topic…
I doubt Ratatoullie will show up at Imax, the most likely candidate for that would
be either The Incredibles or Finding Nemo… and both didn’t show up so… yeah.
too bad
though. ![]()
Sweet!!!
We have one that you lay back and its projected through a fish-eye lens. Its
called Omnimax and the pictures just surrounds you!!!

Please! Please let Ratatouille be on IMAX!!
Gasduude - Sweet, indeed.
And I agree: I hope Ratatouille will be in IMAX theaters, even if it is a long-shot!

I agree. To see a Pixar movie on IMAX would
be pretty cool, but at the same time, I’m not hoping this happens with
Ratatouille.
Personally,
I love watching movies in a regular theatre instead of an IMAX theatre.
The Star Swordsman - Yeah, I
can see what you mean there. Even though the IMAX theaters are out of this world, there is such a thing as too
big and too much in one sitting. (Too much information and a headache from watching a film on something that big,
sometimes…)
Other than that, I agree. I will be content enough just to watch
Ratatouille in a regular theater: first in the El
Capitan, and then at a cinema in my city.
I think it will be too expensive as well.
With Disney funding the advertizing and distribution sections of Pixar, I don’t think
that money would be a large, problematic factor if they were to do an IMAX screening of
Ratatouille.
I’m saying I think it will be cheaper going to a regular theatre.
Ohh – I see. Heh – sorry about that. I misunderstood you.
Yeah, it would be pretty
expensive. But it’s worth the bucks, I can tell you that right now…
Like you said, though, a regular
theater viewing of the film is perfectly fine with me. As long as I see it, I’ll be happy. ![]()
Yeah, pixar is pixar no matter what screen you are watching it on.
It may be a
long shot for Ratatouille, but there is still plenty of time for
Wall-E to be worked to be on IMAX!
