Would You Have Watched.......

Yeah, they definately used a lot of elements from the circle 7 script, i dont know why they dont recognized it, the movie is still great

Exactly.

Yeah ive seen the toy story 3 circle 7 script and i think it is a good plot and if pixar were to take it over i think it would be a kick butt movie i smell a toy story 4!.. naw i dont see pixar making a ts4 the story ended well.

Also, Am I the only one who thinks that the toys traveling to taiwan to save buzz sounds extremely epic?

The circle 7 version wouldn’t have had any of the things that made TS3 a great movie. The incinerator, Lotso, Andy growing up, Bonnie. And it honestly does not sound as funny at all.

Plus, the Circle 7 version probably would not have had as satisfying of and ending. Without Andy growing up, it would have seemed like just another adventure, and would have left the ending open for another sequel, something I really don’t want.

Oh, and the animation would not have looked nearly as good. Have any of you seen Dinosaur? This would have been animated (I think) the same way, and with the same software. It would have looked awful.

Actually, this raises a pretty good argument. Since Andy got Buzz new, he had to have switched him from “demo” to “play” sometime. And considering he had just got Buzz seconds before he took him upstairs, that means he was originally in demo mode. Reseting to demo probably wipes their memory and gives them the impression that their in hypersleep. I guess all of his surroundings would make Buzz believe he was a spaceman.

I would have watched and likely brought it no matter how bad it was. Even if the movie sucked, the animation would still have been top notch. I might not respect the film makers for doing it without pixar, but the animators working at circle 7 were/are still talented, and I would have enjoyed seeing new animation of the characters after all these years.

The heck…why are you comparing toy story to something like Dinosaur? First of all, the animation in that was fine. but its completely different. are you suggesting Disney’s TS3 would have had 3d characters on live action environments? absolutely not. and even if we agreed that Dinosaur was poorly animated, that movie is 10 years old. its more fair to look to more recent Disney 3d ventures, like Meet the Robinsons.

I do agree that the movie would have been very different without pixar, but the animation is not something I don’t think would see too drastic of a change. the only thing I can imagine noticing in their version is less dirt. pixar loves to scratch and scuff up their characters in their movies, but Disney I have a feeling would prefer a cleaner look because in their mind its more appealing to kids. their humans would probably not be as good either. but everything else, it would cary on a familiar pixar vibe in terms of superficial qualities.

It’s the story, and even the voice talent I would be worried about. Tom hanks wouldn’t have been back, and I doubt they would have thought to get Blake Clark as slink. and who knows how many other people would drop out to spite disney for being so evil. Tim Allen was on board no matter who would have made it, but he’s pretty much game for anything these days, as long as it pays. people like Tom have standards.

Sorry, guys, but how can anyone think the Circle 7 version would have been better than the masterpiece that is the final product is beyond me.

How was TS3 any less satisfactory than another story about the toys rescuing a pal once again, even if now it’s in another continent?

Maybe the regular public, who complains about the “seriousness” of TS3 (Can’t they see all the mature humor in there?!), would have liked it better, but it could have never been the cinematographic jewel it is now.

I would of ended up watching it at some point, yes.

Spirit, I don’t know what you’re saying. Everyone I know(normal people) loved TS3, even obsessing over it, to the point where they annoyed me. :open_mouth: I didn’t dislike the third one, and I’m not complaining. It’s a good movie. This one just may have been(in PIXAR’S hands) just as good or better.

What I mean is that there are people who believe TS3 would have been better as a lighthearted movie, and thus complaint with what they got.
