Well as we all know circle 7 was making toy story 3 before they got shut down and pixar took over. But i wanted to know would any of you guys have watched the circle 7 version if it was the one to get released and it still would of had circle 7 working on it also i kinda fear that since disney did that with ts3 i fear they might try and take more of pixars movies and make sequels with or without them cause disney is all about money i mean bambi 2? cinderella 4?and god knows how many tarzan movies there are yeah so anyways would u have watched the circle 7 version of ts3 or not.
As much as I’d be dissapointed Pixar wouldn’t be involved, I’d still go. I mean, I grew up with the first two movies so I’d be stupid not to go. I’m still very glad it was Pixar that made in in the end though.
Yeah me too
Yeh i’d of watched it regardless. Not the biggest fan of TS3, but i’m happy Pixar did, glad it eventually ended up in Pixar’s hands as opposed to … Dreamworks, wouldn’t want to know what gimmicks and stuff they’d add on to the characters for super cheap laughs
I pretty much agree with the consensus here. I would have seen it, but a Disney Toy Story movie would stink. Really bad. I likes BLoSC when I was little, and it’s good for cheap laughs now, but not very good in quality.
It would’ve depended on how it came out. Chances are I would’ve just waited for it on DVD
Sure ts3 was a Good ending to the series, but i think the circle 7 script looked far more epic that the final film, i know im gonna get flamed for this
No, I agree with you. The third could have been better, and this script may have been the missing element.
I would have watched it, but it would have been awful. There is no way that this version could have ever hoped to be as good of a movie as the one we got.
Lord_Zedd, how was TS3 not epic enough for you? It definitely had the most action of all the toy story films, with the opening scene and the prison escape plot.
And from the concepts for this one, the thing that really bugs me is the picture of Hamm and Potato head dressed as a bride and groom. Where would they get those outfits from? And how can potato head sweat?
I do believe that that was a dream sequence.
Dont get me wrong, I LOVE toy story 3, to me is pixar biggest masterpiece, is just that the circle 7 idea sounded EVEN BETTER, and we were even gonna get an explanation of why Buzz lightyear action figures are deluded.
Also it seems Buzz was gonna turn into a main character and thats great, he deserves a movie, not like some old annoying truck I know, one of the things that bugs me about ts3 is that buzz became a background character, did they forget that he was one of the main charactors along with woody in ts1?
Also, Insane Zurg figure? EPIC WIN
Of course. I mean, even if it wasn’t the best, there still are some things you’ve got to see for yourself. Then again, this would’ve been released at a time where I wouldn’t have cared who made it; Toy Story is Toy Story.
I’m not going to say whether it would’ve been good or bad (it’s not quite fair to judge), but it was definately interesting. It really would’ve tested the toys’ loyalty and abilities to actually find Buzz from across the world. Essentially, what would’ve happened to Woody and Jessie if they stayed on that plane any longer. Though, I don’t know if it could beat the tense moments in the final Toy Story 3.
The main difference here is the goal; Disney wanted to reboot it with another adventure featuring the toys in their prime with young Andy, while the final one was really out to make an impact and continue the series realisticlly and not hold anything back.
I agree, I would have appreciated that explanation. Although, I’m mixed on this.
I would prefer that Pixar made the movie, but using this script. Does that make sense?
Yeah that would have been AWESOME!
Pixar would’ve probably tweaked it to their liking, but Disney wouldn’t intentionally put out a terrible movie. They’d want it to live up to the last ones.
Also, would a defect really explain why Buzz thinks he’s a space ranger? That would cause technical problems, but I don’t see how it would make him think he’s a space ranger. I’ve just come to accept that there isn’t really an explanation for that.
I enjoyed the third one, I just like the story and direction of the Circle 7 plot better.
But, it wouldn’t have tied into Prospector threatening Woody of Andy’s growing up, and I know I wouldn’t have cried 5 times during the Circle 7 version. XD So I’ll stop whining now.
Maybe, im pretty sure it has something to do with buzz demo and play modes
Wow, that seems pretty similar to the final film Pixar released.
Well yes, we know that demo mode reverts Buzz to his deluded old self but…WHY?
i think demo mode changes buzz back to space ranger mode because when he is in demo mode he thinks he is a space ranger so switching the button back kinda erases his memory and if that tv wouldnt of fell on him in ts3 he would of stood in that mode and would of had to meet all the toys again and get to know and love them from scratch make sense or did all that just sound like a bunch of gibberish…
I understand that you want an explanation, and being an obsessive-compulsive Toy Story fan, I would love one, too. I just thought that it was interesting hoiw a lot of things from the Circle 7 plot got into the real movie.
