I get very annoyed when a parent is colored as over protective, but there might be in the right, especially if you take into account their trauma, the dangers the child faces, and the fact that HEY, they are still the parent. I mean The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo specifically. Now, don’t mistake me. I like both movies(love the first), I just get so frustrated. In most cases like that, the child does just as much or MORE wrong than the parent. I’m tired of the whole “over protective parent” trend in movies. It’s uncool to me personally.
I didn’t think King Triton was very overprotective. Marlin was maybe a little overprotective. I think Nemo could have done well in school the first time, but I do think him swimming into that open area wasn’t a good idea. So, if he would have stayed in the supervised area, he would have done fine.
King Triton seems more controlling than protective to me. There’s a major difference if you ask me. I think Marlin just parents that way because of what happened to his wife/other children so I don’t really blame him. He just needed to learn to loosen up a bit and Nemo will still be OK.
Don’t worry, it happens to everyone at one point or another. Just keep in mind what the topic is.
I dislike people who tell me I’m going to Hell just because I don’t agree with their religious views. I have views that work for me, and you for you, and they for they. Can’t we just accept that? Live and let live…
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU! that’s why i like everybody here, they may be religious, but they accept my athiesm just as much as I accept their Buddhism, Protestantism, Judiasm, Theism, Christianity, Catholicism, Lutheranism, and Calvonism.
Are there any Calvonists left? And a few of those religions are redundent, as Lutheranism is a form of Protestantism. And Protestantism and Catholocism are sects of Christianity. And Theism isn’t a religion, but a docterine that categorizes religions.
Sorry, I just really love religous studies and comparitive religion, had to point that out. Most misconceptions on religion can lead to hate. Not saying that you’d do that, just trying to explain it.
Dirty glasses really work on my nerves. Also, when people refer to the Bible and have no idea what they’re talking about or they bend it to suit their want. I despise that.
But my biggest personal one is being touched. I don’t know why, I’ve just been like that for a long time. Now, of you walk up to hug me, I probably wouldn’t have the slightest problem with it. In fact, I’d probably hug you right back. But other than that, any type of touching (tapping, patting, squeezing, extra) and you’ll get told off for it. I’d be nice about it, especially If you didn’t know me well, but I let people know. I just feel that it’s my personal space, I should be able to choose what happens inside it.
It really grinds my gears when people assume everyone does a certain thing. I’m not saying everyone assumes these things, but I’m sure some people do.
Eating salads is one thing. I’ve never eaten a salad in my life. Wearing jeans is another. I didn’t start wearing jeans until recently. A big one is baby sitting. I hate it when people assume everyone likes kids.
I agree about both things you said! I don’t really like it when people touch my neck.
Yeah, I think we all have certain places (in addition to private areas) that we don’t like to be touched. Mine is my face and eyes. But I think that’s mostly because I once had my cornea slit, and that was the worst pain I ever had. So I’m extra careful not to let anything meet my eyes.
I hate that too! I had a friend once, who borrowed a book on Independence Day. And she returned it to me- exactly a year later on the NEXT Independence Day.
And she didn’t even read it. So it was gone from my bookshelf for no good reason…
I seriously get ANNOYED when someone types incorrectly on a forum especially on one like this…Like when people put their sentence wrong…like,“yesterdays i saw toystory…” or “whatz your favorite charater?” It’s like you’re old enough to know how to use a computer, learn to type your dang sentence correctly!!Ugh,God that annoys me!!
This reminds back back in the 5th grade, I let my “friand” borrow a Pokemon Gold and Silver Guidebook. I told him to return it to me when he was done. When he had it for a couple weeks, He kept saying he will wring it, It was almost May so school was almosy over. At the end of May he dtill didn’t return it. I told him he better return it, but he never did. I didn’t see him in Middle school because he went to a diffren’t one. Now i onlu let people I know I can trust borrow my stuff.
