Post your attempts at making ratatouille here! For my father’s birthday, my mother and I tried making the film version and I think it came out pretty well. It tasted fabulous too!

My sister makes Ratatouille for us every so often when we go to her house, but she doesn’t make it like the way Remy made it in the movie. It’s still quite nice, but it’s more like a vegetable stew (similar to what Anton Ego’s mother made). But she uses lots of spices and flavour so I’m happy about that, otherwise it can tend to taste a bit bland. I would some day like to have a try at making both versions - maybe this is the catalyst I need. Heheh. And also the fact that my mum has been pushing me to cook more…
During the nine weeks when I took French class, I wanted to cook a French dish for the class project. Due to my obsession with that movie, I wanted to cook ratatouille, but my mom wouldn’t let me because it had too many ingredients to cook in less than a week.
So, I almost had a chance to make ratatouille. Almost.
That does look very delicious, Aggie. 
Unfortunately, I’m not really keen on ratatouille- I don’t like courgettes in particular, so I rarely have it at home. My mum makes it every now and then, but it usually goes with something, like some sort of meat and mashed potato.
Oh, Aggie, that looks absolutely delicious! I guess I’ll work on some soon…hopefully…

My mom cooks the “stew” version of ratatouille every now and then, and I always enjoy diving into its succulent goodness. Who knew that mashed/cooked vegetables could taste so delicious?
I’ll see if I can post up a picture of my mom’s ratatouille pickings the next time she makes some.
