Your dream Pixar film

If you were in charge of making a film at Pixar, what would it be?

Up.

If I were to make one, I doubt it’d stand up to any of the existing films. Still, I guess it would be an action-adventure with a lot of humor, but still takes itself seriously…like Up. :stuck_out_tongue: I have a lot of ideas in my head but at the moment it’s pretty mixed up. (I’m planning to storyboard it in my free time, just for fun.)

It would be a Incredibles style story only with normal people…a little more cityness then UP but close.

Probably like a lot of my stories. Somewhere between Incredibles, Ratatouille, and Wall-E.
Critters and people fly around space fighting for the greater good. It’d be a space opera with big epic space battles and giant armies on planets clashing a la LotR.
eyes glaze over

I’d probably try and do a story set in feudal Japan, with the epic style of Gilgamesh but the childrens orientation of Usagi Yojimbo.

I know I said this elsewhere…but I would like to see Pixar do an “upgrade” (not a remake) of the old animated Disney Robin Hood movie.

I think a CGI version of the old movie would probably do well.

THE INCREDIBLES 2 !!!

And, maybe one day… an Incredibles SERIES :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe a film-noir detective story… like Sin City, Watchmen or The Spirit, except maybe set in ancient times or the future. They had hints of that in the Incredibles with the opening flashbacks and the antique cars and skyscrapers.

Or an inept spy movie along the lines of Johnny English or Get Smart, except darker, like Timothy Dalton or Daniel Craig’s James Bond. So we have a klutzy recruit who wants to be the best secret agent, but has to learn to kill and show no mercy to his enemies. Again, they had a bit of that in the Incredibles.

I guess, I’ll put up mine  , don’t really know why I didn’t do it in the first place but anywho, I would love to see a dog centered Pixar film. Kinda like UP’s action adventure scheme but all about a dog (hopefully a pembroke welsh corgi) Plus, think about the merchandise! What more can you get from a movie other than great characters, a great story, and cute merchandise?!?

Mine would be more of a psuedo-romantic comedy with some self-discovery thown in. Oh, wait, that’s The Incredibles! :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously, I would make something more focused on self-discovery, because Pixar films do a great job of that already, and personally I’d like to see more of that. That’s my dream Pixar film.

Before Ratatouille was released, I dreamed of the day when Pixar would make a film about rats, since I love rats. I never thought that they’d do it, but, hey, look what happened!

Other than that, I’d probably make a film about dinosaurs or roller coasters. I’ve wanted to see Pixar do a production on 'coasters for quite a while now, for some reason.

Andrew Stanton already made the film I’d like to think I would’ve made, even though I’m clearly nowhere near worthy of his genius, when he made WALL-E. The perfect film for a geeky tech-guy who also just happens to be a hopeless romantic. Scratch that, just say, “The perfect film.” and I’m done.

Wall-E is my favourite romantic comedy of all time because it’s so innocent and honest, unlike the ‘raunchy’ or stupid ones coming out lately. Some people may not think it as such, but Wall-E is 1) romantic and 2) funny, therefore => Romantic Comedy.

Otherwise, Pixar already nailed one of my fantasies for a talking car movie with Cars, so I’m pretty satisfied. I would love for them to do a ‘serious’, grown-up movie (we may get that with John Carter of Mars), refer to my above suggestions.

Monsters, Inc. 2- Randall’s Return. Two hours of pure Randall-ness.

But seriously, I adore the idea of something to do with ancient civilisations, preferably either Ancient Egypt or Ancient Rome. So I have a fantasy about Pixar making a film like that, since I really think they could do something different than all the other films based on that idea that have come before.

Allen the Alien Probably my best idea for a movie. Here’s the synopsis that I’ve got so far:

Allen was born with a large brain on his planet, Enahoek. But, when he grows up, his limbs shrivel up and become useless, so he is put in a robotic suit. Allen develops a longing to see planet Earth after learning of it in his school classes. When he’s old enough, he enters the Enahoek University for Human Research, and soon joins the AHKRIE (Abduction for Human Knowledge Research Institute of Enahoek). But Allen abandons his duties (abduct and retreat) to save Earth from invasion by a planet inhabited by the Reptilioids (rep-til-e-oydz). He and his best friend, Gordon the Gray, team up to confront the Nibiru gods of the Reptilioids’ Planet X, known as the Annunaki, and stop global domination.

Well, if I were in charge of making a Pixar movie than I would make something with a mytical feeling. A fantasy movie to put it simply and it should be a little darker than the previous Pixar movie, but not too dark. Not to forget the humor, that’s something every movie needs.

Personally, I would love to see them do something as experimental for audiences as Fantasia was at the time. And since their future movies are to be distributed in 3-D, I think the experience would be something quite spectacular. I also think, that like Disney it would really set them apart from the rest of the animation studios out there and truly make them heads and shoulders above Dreamworks animation

I just think that’s what Pixar need to properly propel them as the true classic studio that they’re still growing to be. Despite their excellent output of work so far, I think it takes something courageous and truly different to their usual stuff…Which i do very much like.

Strangely, the thing i would like to see most almost seems like it’d be destined for failure. If critics thought that kids wouldn’t be able to sit still through Wall-E (go figure) they’ve not seen anything yet!

…In my mind

Well, pixar has already done Super Heroes, so I am happy.

I would be happy if they could do a movie where they had intense swordfighting scenes or a adventure style movie like National Treaure.

Persoanlly, if there is anything PIxar could do to make my dream come true, it is a a second TI movie.

Guitar Zero. Cool name, huh? Here’s what it’s about:
Bob Kevin wanted to be the best rock n roller ever. He went to a taped on TV audition. Everyone hated him, called him names, and threw things at his house. Devastated, Bob must train to be the best rock n roller of all time.

The movie takes place in a fantastic world where just about anything could happen (people walking on clouds, random objects such as refrigerators materializing out of thin air, intelligent rocks, etc.) In the middle of a interplanetary war, a young boy named Boy_362 is the first to learn that their whole world is just a video game. He tells no one, because the law states that no person under Level 30 may ever speak to anyone except for his Parental Units and the Members of his Friend Group. A few years later, he reaches Lv. 30 at an astonishingly young age. Now he tells all the Members of Town_47D (the village where he lives),but no one believes him, save for a girl his age named Girl_712. He gets Banned from the game and is thrown in the Great Dungeon (Trash Bin), but is saved by a knight who also knows that their world is not real soon before he gets Deleted. I don’t know the rest of the story yet, although it would have humor and drama just like the other Pixar movies.
