This list will likely grow in the near future. I’m also happy to show some pictures, without intending to be a show-off of course.

My collection of sci-fi and action film box-sets. These are some of my all-time favorite movies. The Schwarzenegger box-set includes Raw Deal, Red Heat, Red Sonja and Total Recall. As you can see, I have several complete sci-fi and action franchises such as Alien, Predator, Terminator, RoboCop, The Thing, Die Hard and The Fly among others. I just got the Mad Max box-set very recently and am currently watching it.

My Pixar DVDs, many of which are two-disc editions. I have owned these are many years and are proud to have them. I even have the Shorts DVD as you can see. Unfortunately though, I am missing Brave, Cars Toons and Pixar Shorts: Volume 2 DVD. And at the time I took this, Cars 2 seemed to be stacked somewhere else (possibly with my sister). The only DVDs that aren’t special editions are Cars, Up and Toy Story 3. They seem to have stopped doing them now (damn you Blu-Ray!).

Some more sci-fi movies such as They Live and Blade Runner (I plan on getting a box-set for that featuring different versions of the film). Also some incomplete franchises like The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars (which I don’t plan on finishing right now). Although I have The Matrix trilogy as you saw in my box-set collection, I also own an old special edition of the first film. All the Monty Python and X-Men films are included here as well.

Ashamed to say that I only have one Harry Potter and 007 film on DVD, maybe I need to get more of them. Notable films here include Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Scarface, Gladiator, American History X, the 1933 version of King King (oldest film in my collection) and a couple of Dreamworks films (I have more somewhere). Funnily enough, I’ve never seen Solaris, I just happen to have it shacked in my room.

I have more which mainly includes TV box sets but I don’t want to come across as more of a show-off than I already am. I apologise if I do, but I take pride in my film collection and will continue to expand it in the coming months. Hope you like it.

0:52

But wow, that’s quite a collection Geoff. Kudos on the Die Hard Quadrilogy, though I think they’re release a Quintology soon with the cinematic release of A Good Day To Die Hard.

I would love to get box-sets too. I’ve been eyeing the Blu-Ray one for Lethal Weapon Quadrilogy, but it’s pretty pricey at my local video store (almost $200).

My DVD collection consists of:
Speed
Ronin
A few French films I won in a quiz contest at the Alliance Francaise when I was studying there

And my VCD collection:
Taxi (the original French version by Luc Besson)
Taxi 2
Die Hard With A Vengeance

My family used to own binders full of bootleg VCDs (unlike Mitt Romney’s binders) when I was a kid. Most of them have been chucked when we moved house, several times. There’s only a small collection in the TV cabinet. I’ll dig 'em out one day and list 'em here.

Recently picked up the following since Christmas…

DVD
Puss in Boots
Spider-Man 2
The Avengers
Thor

Blu-Ray
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
The Amazing Spider-Man
The Dark Knight Rises

^I still need to get Puss in Boots!

On a somewhat tangential note, I was lucky enough to attend the Australian premiere of Puss In Boots and see Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek. In fact, a fan standing next to me got a signature from Hayek and if I was thinking fast enough, I coulda stuck out something (like my tag or my shirt or my tongue) for her to sign. Ah geez! :stuck_out_tongue:

I bought Legend Of The Guardians and Heat on Blu-Ray a few weeks ago, but have yet to open them. With the long Chinese New Year weekend, I can’t wait to see their extras!

Thanks TDT. I take alot of pride in my DVD collection, and I want to keep adding to it considering that there’s just SO many good movies out there. I plan on seeing the next Die Hard movie when it comes out, though I’m hoping for it to be better than Die Hard 4.0 (Or Live Free or Die Hard as you’ll be more familiar with), which although a great action movie didn’t feel alot like a Die Hard flick.

I am a big fan of the Die Hard series though, especially the first two. I didn’t consider the third to be AS good but that’s probably because it was a UK censored version with less violence and language. Still, it’s one of my favorite movie franchises.

Haven’t updated in forever. Anyway bold is what I have baught or gotten since.

It should also be worth noting that Grindhouse is the FIRST (and so far only) Blu-ray addition to my collection. This is because Grindhouse is basically a double feature of two films (Planet Terror and Death Proof) that were both separately released on DVD only. I really wanted the experience of watching a double bill of some trashy old 70s flicks (along with fake trailers) so I decided the Blu-ray with both films in one was the way to go. Sadly, the only Blu-ray player I have is my PlayStation 3. Despite this, I will not hesitate to buy more Blu-rays in the future.

Also ashamed to say I’ve never seen a Tarantino flick before, but I have hopes for Death Proof despite it being considered one of his weakest films.

I don’t know which movie I want to add to my collection next: Wreck it Ralph? Lincoln? Les Miserables? I still don’t have Pinocchio and Dumbo either.

I remember when I was little, I would watch Dumbo everyday. 7 days a week. I still have the VCR copy of it

That’ is great! It’s one of my favorite Disney movies.

Here is my current Blu-ray collection:

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

Inglourious Basterds
The Wolfman (2010)
A Christmas Carol (2009)

Wow, another Boardwalk Empire fan!! And your DVD collection is amazing Bill! I really loved the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus when I saw it. I want to see it again. And of course Planet of the Apes is amazing. I hate the remake though. :stuck_out_tongue:

The other day I was examining my collection. I realized I am starting to accumulate a Batman DVD collection! 8D It probably won’t grow much more though, because I refuse to own most of the Batman movies.
