I’m going to get a bigger shelff one day, the problem is my room is to small for it. The only way it woukd fit is with I have my bed face the TV, I alway’s liked it facing the wall.
I definitely need somewhere new to keep mine.
Someday I’d like to buy this bookcase with the glass doors for my Disney/Pixar collectibles, books, and films.
I also mentioned to my boyfriend the other day that it would be super awesome to have cloud wallpaper (like Andy’s room) in a separate room that will house all my geeky animation stuff, like that bookcase I posted and lots of toys/replicas (especially TS-related—like the Luxo star ball and a Luxo lamp!), plush, and some of my Disney/Pixar artwork. That’s one of my ultimate dreams, to be honest.
I find the urge to not re-purchase DVDs for films I already have on VHS. I still use my VHS player depending on the movie. I love bonus features, but honestly I don’t consider them worth the insane price special editions are going for.
My DVD collection is made up mostly of ‘newer’ films, Pixar movies, and collections like the Indiana Jones trilogy, Alfred Hitchcock Collection, and various horror films from the 70s and 80s that probably don’t sell well anyway. I do have one of the original DVDs for Brazil, which is apparently pretty rare, as well as Terry Gilliam’s Wholly Family, which could only be obtained at the premiere in Rome.
I have pretty much every Disney movie on VHS though, and I’ve been rewatching a lot of those recently.
That bookcase looks really nice! It sounds like a good idea.
I don’t need a huge bookcase, but a bigger one then I do now.
That would be a perfect bookcase! I like it. And that cloud wallpaper is a great idea.
This dosen’t have to do with DVD’s unless you got it into DVD but how many home movies does everyone have?
Over 1000 in my house.
I love that bookcase!! It’s red! <3
I’’ will post a new picture of my update and list a few days after Christmas.
Here’s two DVDs I ordered the other day:
The Marx Brothers DVD set has TONS of bonus features and 8 of their movies. For $17. Totally worth it!
They look great ^^.
Wow! That’s a pretty good deal you got for those!
Where did you get it?
I got them today! Oh, and Cats Don’t Dance was $6. Got them both off of Amazon.
And today my friend gave me my Christmas present- The Hangover Part II! So my DVD collection has been growing.
I can see you being a Cats Don’t Dance fan, eje. I personally haven’t seen it in a few years but I have it on my wishlist.
My fingers are crossed that I’ll be adding a few more DVDs/blu-rays to my list on Christmas!
I really need to grow my Disney collection.
Same here ^^.
I have all the Disney canon films with the exception of a handful of 1940s package features, but I might buy those next summer to make my collection complete.
I have only like two Disney movies on DVD.
