I agree. The only film score of his that I didn’t really care for was Hercules but that one was still pretty decent.
That’s my least favorite as well. But still good, like you said. But, I hate gospel music. HATE. So that’s my only reason for not loving it like the others, lol.
I agree with you. I really HATED those gospel women. I didn’t even understand why they were in the film. They were just as worthless as the gargoyles from Hunchback.
Haha, I hate the gargoyles too. But they had more of a purpose; at least they showed how unstable Quasimodo might or might not be. Where as the Muses on Hercules were just pure dread.
Like you said, the gargoyles are understandable since they were there for Quasi to intereact with. The movie would of probably been boring with those scenes with Quasi in the belltower alone.
I personally think they weakened the movie, but at last they had a reason. The muses…ugh. Don’t even get me started. Political correctness, much?
Yeah, the gargoyles songs in the two films were just horrible.
Yes! Exactly. Disney movies are so good, and they could be better, with less humor.
True, considering how serious some of the films from the Renaissance were like Hunchback. Guess their there to appeal to kids.
Actually he’s like the God of the Universe, but I get you.
I suppose. But, I would love them even more than I do if they weren’t so silly at parts. Being selfish here.
Spirit: I would have said that, but I’m mildly religious, so it would be inappropriate for me to say such a thing. So in my case, just music.
Ah, ok. I have no religion except for John Williams, so…
I understand.
My favorite Randy Newman score is The Princess and the Frog.
I love that score too EJE. Especially all of the songs.
My favorite one from Randy Newman is A Bug’s Life. So many fantastic leitmotivs.
Yes, I admit I often have ABL’s track in my head. Especially the Building the Bird sequence. <3
My favorites from him are
-Cats don’t dance
-A Bug’s Life
-Monsters, Inc.
-Toy Story 2
How awesome is that track? <3
Too awesome! It’s so catchy, I sometimes find myself humming it.
I haven’t seen A Bug’s Life in quite some time so I don’t remember that song.
