I like alot of the scores Alan Menken did like Beauty and The Best, Hunchback, and Tangled.
YES!!! Three of my favorite scores of all time. I have the BatB soundtrack.
My favorite song from BATB had to be “Be Our Guest”
Oh, excellent song. I always think of that song when I’m at a formal party or restaurant.
Yes, most defintely! My favorite of his scores is Pocahontas.
The score for Pocahontas is pretty good. I liked the song “Colors in the Wind”.
My favorite musical piece in Pocahontas is the last 5 minutes of the movie- Farewell. So stunningly beautiful.
^ Yes! That’s probably my favorite piece of score in the movie.
I exclusively listen film scores, so I don’t have a few to pick my favorites.
But if I had to choose, it would surely be something by John Williams.
Well aside from Alan Menken, I also like Danny Elfman’s music.
I love, love, LOVE the score from Up. Michael Giachinno is amazing. My other favorite scores would be Toy Story, Lord of the Rings, Tangled, Beauty and the Beast, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean (though I’ve never actually seen any of the movies, but we played the music in homeschool band), Finding Nemo and The Chronicles of Narnia.
Mine are the ones for Hunchback, Tangled, and the Randy Newman scores for the Pixar films.
I own over 300 scores. It’s a hobby of mine.
I adore How To Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda’s. John Powell is awesome!
I also love the whole Pirates of the Caribbean series’ score.
Oh, and anything by Vangelis, hehe! I have not seen any of the movies but their scores are too awesome. Blade Runner, Conquest of Paradise…
And most music from really classic animated features like Bambi and The Land Before Time. Something’s quite amazing about those humming voices you hear so much in those classics…
And this is kind of a guilty pleasure; The songs in the Donkey Kong Country animated series. D:
Arr, feast yer eyes, look into the mirror, it never lies! You’re a pirate, can’t you see that this is no disguise, you live to loot and pillage, fame and terrorize…
The reflection tells a story of a pirate’s life and glory, trust your eyes! Arr, the mirror never lies!..
I’m so sorry.
I like Vangelis, but the Academy robbed Raiders of the Lost Ark for his Charriots of Fire, which is something people won’t soon forgive.
I absolutley adore Thomas Newman. Most of his scores are amazing, especially American Beauty, The White Oledaner, WALL-E, The Shawshank Redemption, Finding Nemo, Meet Joe Black, The Horse Whisperer, Pay It Forward, The Help, Brothers, Desperatley Seeking Susan…
I love Thomas Newman, but I’m not a fan of how much he repeats himself.

-Toy Story movies, but I think 2 has some particularly catchy cues.
Anything by Michael Giacchino. And I’m not sorry for saying that.
Well, my two favorite movie scores are Hunchback of Notre Dame and Tangled. Alan Menken has to be one of the best composers out there.
I. Love. Alan Menken. I like every single score of his that I know.
