Your favourite Movie scores

Just curious, what were you guys’ favorite song from those three films?

-Hellfire
-Beauty and the Beast(the song)
-I’ve Got a Dream

<3

I’ve Got a Dream, Be Our Guest, and I can’t decide which is my favorite from The Hunchback.

I liked “Hellfire”, “I See the Light”, and “Be Our Guest” from those films.

I love your guy’s lists.

Thanks! I say Hunchback had the better music of the three.

Kenji Yamamoto is another one of my favorites, even though he doesn’t compose for movies. He wrote most of the original music for Nintendo, such as the Super Mario Brothers and Legend Of Zelda themes, and he helped write the music for some of the Metroid games. :sunglasses:

Gives high-five back

Grah, it’s too difficult to choose out of his songs!

But my top three Menken scores are:

  1. Pocahontas
  2. Hunchback of Notre Dame
  3. Aladdin

My favorite scores by Alan Menken are Pocahontas and Tangled.

Pocahontas has some good music in the film. My personal favorite would be “Colors of the Wind.”

Pocahontas has some lovely songs. Colors of the Wind is really pretty!

Colors of the Wind is definitely my favorite Pocahontas song. <3

I totally agree. That one is my favorite Disney sound track ever.

Yup, I think we can all agree that Colors Of The Wind is probably the best song in Pocahontas.

Yep, I agree.

It has almost made me cry before.

While it’s not my favorite score, I must say Ides of March has a fantastic one. I watched that movie last night, and the score was intense.

I thought that the score for Pocahontas was one of the few positive things about the film.

I like Pocahontas, but I personally think it’s one of the least good films of the Renaissance period. Still good, just not on-par with Beauty and the Beast or The Lion King.

I have to agree. Probably one of the weakest films from the Renaissance but it’s not that bad of a film.

I personally think it is the single worst renaissance Disney film, followed by Hercules. I like it a lot, and more than some of the renaissance movies. But it’s the “worst”.
